usc is ranked 67th or 68th vs the run...102nd vs the pass.
key for the irish is balance on offense.
drew pyne needs to be smart with the ball because sc does generate t/o's.
lean into your strength...the oline.
if notre dame wins this game...their run game was too strong and their special teams gets some key punt blocks.
notre dame has a better chance than some think.
Go♧Irish!

Or Rattler just might have had his career game and he fades away....

I agree. He had a heck of a game, but until the Tennessee game he had more interceptions than touchdowns. I don't see much of an NFL prospect when I watch him.

1) Georgia - SEC
2) Michigan - Big 10
3) TCU - Big 12
4) USC - Pac 12

Sets up perfectly. The Southeast, Midwest, Southwest and the West Coast regions of the country are all represented.
It does, but there are conference champ games that will decide the 4

Georgia and Michigan are probably in no matter what.

TCU and USC are the front-runners, but its not a lock.

Kansas State was crushing TCU 28-10 before their QB got hurt a couple of weeks ago, so if they get another shot they could "maybe" pull the upset. I hope not. It's be nice to the B12 have representation

It's VERY hard to leave a 1 loss Ohio St team out when their only loss was to a top 3 team

I do think a 1 loss TCU would still get in ahead of a 2 loss Alabama

Clemson gagged 31-30 vs rival South Carolina (first time ever SC has beaten top 10 teams in back to back weeks, so congrats to them)

#5 LSU totally blew their shot this weekend. Even if they win the SEC title game next week, they should not get in. 3 losses. But it really makes those title games look silly as hell.

Inexperience HC and a mediocre OC were the main reasons
BUT USC played better overall and usually that is who wins

when i posted that...it was in the first half....real time.
which was true.
michigan couldn't run the ball.
wr cornelius johnson and their defense kept them in that game.
their oline flipped the 2nd half and edwards hit'm with 2 big home runs.
but midway thru that first half....michigan missed having a healthy corum.

caleb williams is special...he took over that game all night.
i like tommy reese...but they were trying to do things that were so far off their script.
estime should've gotten more carries between the tackles in that first half.
marcus freeman did a helluva job getting them back on track after an 0-2 start...then losing to stanford at home.
they coulda quit on him and didn't.
he's the right man for the job.
notre dame is just getting started with freeman.
good things ahead.

PSU has another excellent LB. Freshman Abdul Carter. Remember him.

That was probably the best team USC has beaten all year.
To their credit, their only loss was 43-42 at Utah... which is not an easy play to win lately.

With their conference not in the business of eating their own with a conference title game, they have a legit shot of getting in the final 4 now.
Still going to be tough to take them over a 1 loss Ohio St, but recency bias helps.

the way michigan flipped that game in the 2nd half and just ran'm off the field...it'll be tough for ohio st to get in.
if usc loses their conf title game tho....ohio st would get in i think.
and who knows.
that could happen.

The Michigan center has 2 blocks that allowed Edwards to score on those long runs. Good for him. He must be playing with a heavy heart…
that kid is a helluva player.
major credit to michigan coaches for not abandoning their run game coming out of the half.
at one point in that 1st half...i think michigan had a total of 9yds rushing.
mccarthy's deep shots to wr cornelius johnson and their defense kept them in it.
it felt like ohio st was dominating that 1st half but michigan's defense kept it close on the score board.
that is a very good, tough unit.
that #0 made some big pass break ups in key moments.
and that edwards is a dude.
he couldn't get going in that 1st half.
didn't quit.
didn't get down on himself.
and in that 2nd half...made 2 of the damnedest td runs i've seen in awhile.
helluva win by michigan.
harbaugh has done a helluva work there.

Oh yeah, I forgot that the Pac 12 will start having a conf champ game this year.

So, for Conference Title games with ranked teams, it's

Georgia vs LSU
Michigan vs Purdue
TCU vs Kansas St
USC vs Utah
Clemson vs N. Carolina
Tulane vs UCF

every team in those 6 games is ranked except Purdue
should be some good ones

I expect Georgia and Michigan to dog walk their opponents which aren't very good. Purdue and LSU shouldn't be near a championship game in those vaunted conferences.
B12 and P12 should be close. TCU is a good football team but Kansas State is tough as nails. USC has the star power led by Caleb but Utah is very sound all around and can win in special teams.
Tulane is a really good football team. Caught them like 3 times this year and they really surprised me with overall quality even after injuries.
No idea what to make of Clemson/UNC. Clemson is missing its defensive identity and the QB can't pass. UNC's Maye has been outstanding until the last couple weeks so not sure what the deal is there. Maybe he's injured?
Weird few weeks for ACC and I think FSU might currently be their best program.

Really wish we got a 12 team tourney.
