I remember that now that you mentioned it and I did feel for him. Fran was a good guy. Another thing I regreat on that play was the fact that the offical was hit by a bottle or some flying object as the play was happening. I was very glad that Drew was able to make the catch and get into the endzone because it moved Dallas to the next round aginst the Rams and right before the Rams game my Dad told me we had SB tickets. Thank God Dallas routed the Rams in a blowout, I don't think I could have handled the stress of another tight game

Armen Tezian (or something similar as I recall) was the ref who got hit by what I believe was a whiskey flask.

That Rams game is one of my all-time favorites as we really showcased our team. Remember Preston Pearson's diving TD catch? James Harris started at QB for the Rams but was relieved by the young phenom known as the Polish Rifle - Ron Jaworski. Didn't matter :)

I recall that my parents let me skip Sunday School after church that day to watch the game. Had to walk home about 5 miles cuz everyone else was staying but that was a small price to pay.

Absolutely one of my favorite seasons. I loved Drew & Preston as they really clicked with Roger.

And yes I am very envious of your SB tickets :)
