For what it's worth, Pro Football Focus rated Sims very poorly in 2008 and 2009 -- he was DEAD LAST among 4-3 outside linebackers both seasons. In 2008, he was even dead last by a huge margin.
Well, to be fair; in 2009 he was dealing with a torn hamstring.

People cry and whine about every move the Eagles make every yr. And guess what?

:trophy:

Seriously people, get over the Eagle move cry-fest.

I agree.

This guy hasn't done anything on the field, is small and will be run over by our team.

Not sure why the eagles continue to go small on D when we smashed them 3 times last year....

He wasn't playing well before his hamstring injury, according to PFF. He had a negative rating in every single game before and after he hurt his hamstring, and his two worst games came before the injury.

In his past 29 games, PFF has given him a positive rating in ONE game. That's atrocious.

I'm not familiar with PFF, but on film he has gotten progressively worse as his career has worn on. I think that may also be partially due to the fact that for quite some time he simply didn't have anything around him. I don't know that he'll be an all-pro in Philadelphia, but I'm sure he'll be much improved if he can stay healthy.

If Sims can stay healthy, Eagles got a good player.
So did the Lions.

Looks like Denver is building from the ground up.

I get the feeling McGangster will take a TE at #11.
This is a good TE draft, so don't be surprised if he lands a good one with one of his second round picks...or later.

maybe Rob Gronkowski or Hernandez?

Scheffler and Pettigrew may be the most intriguing young tight end combination in the league.
Tune in every week to watch the intrigue unfold. Sparks fly when Pettigrew's surrogate aunt spawns a love child with Scheffler's agent and names him....Josh McDaniels Pettigrew.

Never mind.

lol. Sims is ok. He'll be a better backer for us than Roy was/is a reciever for us. That's for sure.

Its just another classic example of CZ experts obsessed with "big name-itis". They think because he was a 1st rd pick somewhere, and that the Eagles got him, he must be really good.

Witherspoon seemed like a steal, too, and it didn't work out that way.

Not to get all Mickey, but I think Schwartz is probably a pretty good defensive coach. If he wants to get rid of Sims, there's probably a reason.

One less pick out of a slew of picks. Let's hope that Sims doesn't need time to heal and a change of locale and scheme to flourish.

And the reason is because he isnt all that good. Pretty mediocre in fact.

Nice pick up for the Eagles. If Simms stays healthy he's a real solid player for them.

Yet another head scratching move by Josh and the Broncos. In a years time he has completely taken away the offensive firepower of that team and gotten pretty much nothing in return for it thus far.

If this guy is out of a job by the end of the year I wouldn't be shocked in the least.

I hate when other teams make trades. The only thing I ever see are over reactions.

"Why can't we get deals like that?"

"Yet we do nothing. We must be good."

"We'd have given a 1st and a 3rd and a 5th for him."

Pass the Kleenex. I gotta join the pity party or get run over by it. Maybe the sky will fall.

Ahhhhhhhh, run everyone, Hostile says the sky will fall!
