1. The eagles defense has no idea what to expect from Orton
2. All the pressure now is on the Eagles since they will be heavily favored due to no Romo
3. We no longer have any pressure to win this game due to Romo being out
4. Been watching the NFL long enough to know when a star player goes down like this, the team comes together and plays well and usually wins
Anyone else feeling good right now that we are playing with House money??? This is the best thing that could have happened to us
I can't say that I'm giddy, but #4. That win over Washington was big. We know that Washington is a 3win team, but we also know that when it comes to NFC East division games, records and stats all go out the window. The team seemed to really FEEL the win, but quickly got focused on Philly and Week 17. Losing Romo could bring this team together even more. It could inspire guys to give the extra 10% effort and focus that the team needs to win.
I also agree with #2 & #3. I think this injury was a bit of a release valve opening up. Any tension that the media could have built up just doesn't apply. BUT, I've already heard from ESPN and others how Philly has all of the pressure on it's side now. I'll take it.
That said... I fully support Kyle Orton, but I'd rather have Romo + December pressure + everything else.
...that's my quarteback, man. that's my quarterback!
