5 Reasons the Dallas Cowboys Are Legitimate Super Bowl Contenders

Heading into Week 5, the Dallas Cowboys are still looking to put their foot on the accelerator. At times the Cowboys have looked like a playoff-contending team while at other times it’s been a day to forget. Even though the Cowboys may have gotten off to a rocky start, there is still hope for America’s team.

Generally, the month of September can be a slow start for several Super Bowl-contending teams as the season has just begun and things are still falling into place. It would be ideal for Dallas to go on a string of wins now despite the schedule featuring some tough teams in the upcoming weeks.

Nevertheless, there are plenty of reasons for the 2023 NFC East Champions to be considered legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

1. Dak Prescott’s Continued Good Form
2. Dallas Cowboys’ Receiving Unit Coming Along
3. Special Teams Play
4. Dallas Cowboys’ Defensive Prowess (with Parsons and Bland)
5. Rookie Center Proving His Worth

Unfortunately, our team has great form exiting playoffs. No football team with so many post season opportunities over the years has failed better. When you combine key player injuries to coaching and executive management incompetence how can you expect to even win your division?

Ok, never say never but it's probably improbable.

This team is absolute dog crap and an article like this comes out? Why? A really bad team happened to squeak past another team that was a little bit worse and suddenly they're super bowl contenders? This is a perfect example why the rest of the NFL hates Dallas fans.

.....Followed by one reason the author is not a legitimate journalist.......his article.

I mean, c'mon, a deliberately one dimensional offense with two rookies starting in the offensive line, a duo of RB's that feature a beat up, worn down veteran and a career practice squad talent, a singular productive WR among a group that scares no one but Cowboys fans, and a coach that thinks it's a great idea to use that only talented skill position player as a RB and line him up in a way that an announces to the world he is getting the ball.

Then there is a defense that just lost their two starting Pro Bowl level DE's after already losing their primary backup. Since they can no longer pressure the QB, let"s make sure we are down to the 4th team CB on one side in case the opponent wants to rest their RB's for one or two plays.

In the event they accidentally move the ball forward a few yards, we'll include a complete lack of discipline by the flag magnets known as offensive linemen, safeties, and special teamers.

When your team's most exciting player is the kicker, they are not contenders unless we are speaking about a top 5 pick in next year's draft.

Whatever he is drinking, I want some! Seriously, defensive prowess? They gave up 90 points to two teams in consecutive home games. The lowly Giants scored 5 times in 5 straight drives against Dallas and didn't punt until 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Dominating defense!

#6: If the NFL sees that it's most popular franchise is in trouble, they might arrange a Super Bowl win for them.
The Cowboys vs Taylor Swift; it's a match that would top ratings everywhere.

Pretty sure we can come up with 15 why they are not.
