I like this pick. He seems like he has potential to stay on the roster and at 6th round why not? Plus his dad scouts here so that is a given bonus of motivation.

This isn't anywhere NEAR the typical 6th round pick. Jerry said that he was the highest rated player on their board all day.

As a pure football player, he is off the charts. His height and weight is what held him back....period.

Most have him listed at 176 and who knows how accurate that is. Adding weight could slow him down. I remember Felix Jones putting on weight and he lost all his quickness. For Vaughn to have any chance he’s going to have to keep all his speed and quickness.

He literally weighed in at the combine & the KS proday and was listed at 179.

the clock speed is what it is...when this kid gets into the secondary they have a hard time tracking him, his field speed is legit.

Tony Pollard ran a 4.52 at the combine.
40 times don't always tell the whole story.
Deuce is fast.

Come on man, do a little digging. He had food poisoning at the combine yet still ran. He then followed it up at his pro day with a 4.38.

This might be my favorite pick we made, esp since I hated about all the rest.
Would be nice to give Philly back a taste of Darren Sproles that we had to deal with for so long.

I hope Vaughn fairs better than that. Sproles faced Dallas 11 times. He missed the matchup 5 times due to injury. He amassed less than 500 yards from scrimmage and scored only 4 times against the Cowboys in those 11 games.

I remember several years ago we drafted a back in the seventh round who had 4.3 speed but didn’t have much size and fans went overboard over him. He ended up getting cut in training camp his rookie year.

I’m not trying to discount it, but playing against quality NFL teams is a lot different than playing against college teams. There’s a lot of college players that have produced big time at the collegiate level and never came close to that in the NFL. The problem with Vaughn is he’s undersized for an RB. He’s going to be a returner and gadget guy. I’m sure they’ll give them a few running plays.
