The half of this board that wants the Cowboys to lose refuses to acknowledge the bolded.

Maybe Watson is the version from 2019 we saw...but we haven't seen that guy in 5 years. The idea that the Cowboys offense would struggle any more than the Browns is preposterous.
Your putting too much into how Watson may play. The Browns have done some damage with backup QBs. Just ask the Ravens and Steelers.

Yeah, they did pretty well last year with a struggling QB and star RB hurt. That defense was #1 in the rankings for much of the season.

So not like they can’t do it, but think it’s fair to say it’s not a gimme loss either. With NFL parity these days, and shorter Preseason and TC intensity, you just never know with these week 1 games. These are not the teams we’ll see winning in December.

To be clear, we are walking into a buzz saw Sunday at Cleveland. We will find out quickly about the offense. The Browns had a top rated defense. They only added to it. Im seeing many content creators talking arrogantly that we are the better team blah blah blah. Im not seeing it. Lets hope MM and Zimmer are aware of the situation. Browns are 3 deep everywhere AND talented. Lets not forget they were a playoff team. The stadium will be jacked up wanting blood at our expense to send a message to the league for all to witness. I know its just game 1, but if we aren't a much more disciplined team and physical, it will be ugly quick. I am sure the Jones boys are still thinking the same thing on the heels of that GB game. Which is why they been leary of extending Dak to anything more than a 2 year deal. From that standpoint, I don't blame them.

I'm rarely negative on this forum, but I call 'em as I see it. Sorry you find that upsetting.

If you keep receipts and want to throw them in my face later...that's cool. Hope you get that chance on my prediction for the opener.

In case you want to keep proper receipts: I said the team would turn things around as the season went along.
Keeping htme win lose or draw if its close you LOSE!! left no wiggle room using a separate thread and words like LOSE UGLY! way to go!!!

Cleavlands a SB ready team with no hole,s we suck ,we lose ugly,

headlines read all about it we will lose ugly because TRO wants to be right, because anything other than that means the offseason nonsense threads would all be wrong...

Putting too much stock into...whether the QB plays well or not lol.
My fear is that he is that QB that made him get the big bag (not that I feel he's great) but we just have a way of making guys look great that's all. It's not that hard to catch a defense slipping being slow to move, and a QB is running around making plays look easy

Sorry boys, but I'm not feeling it for Sunday.

1. Dallas was 2-4 last year when facing winning teams...before Packers in playoffs
2. Cleveland had 2nd best defense last year (DVOA rating)
3. The dog pound is loud and emotional & Browns were 8-1 at home last year
4. Guyton facing Myles Garrett in his very first game is too much
5. Dallas has lost 8 of it's last 11 games on grass
6. Cleveland has one of the most complete rosters in NFL
7. First game of season = sloppy. Cleveland can be damp and windy.
I'd like to see the Cowboys employ the Jimmy philosophy of playing hard nosed defense and not making mistakes on offense (ie turnovers). Of course this requires a sudden transformation of our run defense and our run offense,,,, and Dak to keep calm. Three characteristics we haven't shown for many moons, but if we do, Whoa Nellie!

I fixed it for you dip chit!
If the quarterback is bad it doesn't matter if it is Watson, Flacco, or Roger Staubach.

The point is that the QB is Watson, and we don't know if he's good or not. I don't care what they did with backups last year, it is irrelevant to the point.

And my point is it doesn't matter. The Browns are capable of winning with just defense and a running game with minimal help from QB.

Negative as I've been I still hope and halfway expect to win. I do believe this is a really good young team. Unfortunately I don't think we're good enough to hang with the elite. I will expect more of the same until proven otherwise.
Browns = elite but we suck? who won their division last year , 2 of the last 3 years, been to the payoffs 5 of 8 years?? whereas Cleaveland has NOT won one theirs since 1986? lmao what did they do last year vs what we did?

lmao this place will find any reason to doubt our team while Wildy overrating an opponent., IF we win the narratives will be the browns sucked anyway and wil be backed up by the opposite stats form this thread..

Yup new year, same sad fan base...

Ok? They're also capable of getting killed playing that way, which happened multiple times last year.

Wow, jump to conclusions often? Show me where I said we suck and the Browns are elite?

In fact I said I still expect/hope to win vs Cleveland.

The elite teams would be the ones who stomp us out of the playoffs annually. Reading isn't everyone's thing though.

You do know that stadium will be 40% Cowboys fans? You do know Dalla salso had a top rated defense last year? You do know Dallas was also a playoff team last year?

Boy, I sure hope MM and Zimmer are reading your posts so they can become aware of the situation. Do you actually stop to think about what you said there? You hope guys that have been in the freaking NFL for 30 years are aware of something? Do you actually think you are aware of something that they are nor aware of? You arent serious, are you?
