We'll know in the first 5-10 minutes where this game is heading.

If Cleveland can just grind us on the ground and get an early score and Dak and the offense so out there and look inept in the first drive or two, you'll know where this game is heading. Rarely does this team start off really slow against a good team and figure it out as the game goes on.
if we get punched in the mouth early, then we don't respond well, its ball game. I agree. Im afraid we still have too many DQ holdovers left on the team, a faction of DQ guys if you will, that may not be fully all in with Zim and MM. I anticipate many growing pains in this game. Are we a team of gritty physical players or are we the same old finesse guys that do alot of tough talking then vanish at the first sign of trouble? I caution my Cowboy brethren to expect many heartaches early in the year. But I think as the year goes, we might become more battle tested and ready for the post season as long as we have a decent record.

Sorry boys, but I'm not feeling it for Sunday.

1. Dallas was 2-4 last year when facing winning teams...before Packers in playoffs
2. Cleveland had 2nd best defense last year (DVOA rating)
3. The dog pound is loud and emotional & Browns were 8-1 at home last year
4. Guyton facing Myles Garrett in his very first game is too much
5. Dallas has lost 8 of it's last 11 games on grass
6. Cleveland has one of the most complete rosters in NFL
7. First game of season = sloppy. Cleveland can be damp and windy is calling the game we win

Tom Brady calling the game, we automatically win period lol
Chubbs is out
And Deshaun lol
It should be a good game. Can’t wait for the season to start.

Many of the so called “fans” here are too blinded by their hate to see ANY positives. This thread is just another example.
Chub is out, Deshaun Watson he’ll struggle the first game. I think we win it in the fourth-quarter late

Cleveland is missing their best offensive player. It won't be raining as of now.
Watson hasn't played in a while plus when he did he was average at best.

Cowboys can steal this game. I think it will be a low scoring game something like 17-13 possibly.
Only way Dallas gets embarrassed is if the defense doesn't show up.

so, we lose ugly???

so i'm keeping receipts bro and when we lose a close game ill call that a major win.. ,If we win im bringing the eggs to thor in your FACE,, this fan base is becoming an epic fail. Nothing but negativity and hate ..

by the way i remember a whole lot of the same chatter that was going to happen with the new york giants game 1 they were playoff team the year before we beat them 40-0 if memory serves me right?? then all the backtracking saying it was just the giants.lmao just liemit was just Tampa inthe Playoff game they were not good all of sudden but pregame we were losing.
I'm rarely negative on this forum, but I call 'em as I see it. Sorry you find that upsetting.

If you keep receipts and want to throw them in my face later...that's cool. Hope you get that chance on my prediction for the opener.

In case you want to keep proper receipts: I said the team would turn things around as the season went along.

That 2-4 metric seems wrong. Just looking I see wins over Eagles, Detroit, Seattle, and Rams who all had winning records.
I was enjoying cocktails when posting that last night and got sloppy. You are correct.

Corrected:
3-5 versus playoffs team when including GB.
Wins: Rams, Lions, Eagles
Losses: Fins, Bills, Niners, Eagles, Pack

I am hoping that won't be the final score, unless it's us with the 48 points. But if it is, I think the McCarthy-era may come to a very quick end; and the calls to not extend Dak will only amplify - if that's possible.
I was being sarcastic with that prediction.

I think we lose 23-16, but it won't be particularly competitive, IMO. We'll get some late points to make the final score respectable.

Is it true that Cleveland’s secondary is rated #1?
If they play to their potential and Myles Garrett is on his game, It maybe a long day for Dak and the cowboys’ offense.

We will loose that is for sure
But easy amigo, or you will get trolled by the swarm of mindless zombie-fanatics on this board. Most of them still believe our team -The mediocre Cowboys- are a winning team.

This season will suck and suck hard
All we have left to do is wait for JERRY to retire or die

The Cowboys ARE a winning team. 36-15 over the past 3 seasons, one of the best regular season marks in the league.

We are in the regular season.

Browns allowed least passing yards in NFL last season. And...they had the NFL's 6th most sacks.

you know you get roasted if you are not a frequent drinker of the Cowboys kool-aid, right? You don't need to respond, apologize or explain yourself to somebody who questions your fandom because you are being objective/critical. Last time I thought we had a game in the bag and there was NO chance we would lose against GB....there are enough examples of being let down as a fan of this team that I think we are allowed to be skeptical at times without being called a "hater"

If Cleveland has you worried

Why is it that practically no one has the Browns as a top AFC contender? I see Chiefs, Ravens, Texans, Bengals, Jets, Bills and Dolphins being ranked ahead. And if you look at the power rankings, quite a few of them seem to have the Cowboys ranked ahead of the Browns.
It's ok if you think it's just bad timing to get the Browns on the road in week 1. Rookies starting on the OL and at CB. But let's not act like the Browns are world-beaters!!
I hope you're right TC. I'd like to see us start the season with a W.

There’s a huge difference in someone who is skeptical, and someone who actively cheers for the team to do bad just to be able to troll!

Your season outlook is as bleak as any I've seen this year. Sounds like you're set for a really rough time no matter what happens.

:hammer:

This. Hope that stops with Zimmer. Would be nice to get back some of that Parcells vibe. DQ’s teams were like that in Atlanta too. Overhyped, getting ahead of themselves, don’t know how to respond when the going gets tough. Even being part of one of the biggest Super Bowl collapses.
