and yet they have won 12 games 3 years in a row. They couldnt have possibly beaten 36 chumps in that time frame.
Look at any football game there is talent levels, when these levels are eveness those things swing the game...Dallas and Cleveland look pretty even talent wise to me..it will come down to the things i listed especially penalties in week 1.

Like I said, the only shot (and that's even a small shot) that we have is Watson playing how he did last year. That's it

Cleveland’s OL is apparently healthy this year, though we’re not last year, and they have Bill Callahan. An interesting thing to look at will be how our DL does against them, especially Micah and our new defensive philosophy regarding generating pressure.

Sorry boys, but I'm not feeling it for Sunday.

1. Dallas was 2-4 last year when facing winning teams...before Packers in playoffs
2. Cleveland had 2nd best defense last year (DVOA rating)
3. The dog pound is loud and emotional & Browns were 8-1 at home last year
4. Guyton facing Myles Garrett in his very first game is too much
5. Dallas has lost 8 of it's last 11 games on grass
6. Cleveland has one of the most complete rosters in NFL
7. First game of season = sloppy. Cleveland can be damp and windy.
Only 7?

I could add 8 more....

1. #4 sucks
2. Lamb holdout...rusty...On top of that he bought one of those ugly Teslas trucks.
3. Mike Zimmer soft defense...
4. Mazi's ho hum attitude...
5. McCarthy playback and lousy play calling.
6. We don't have a RB or C
7. Our best QB is 3rd string.
8. Our DTs are old...

The first game of the year never shows that. Especially after sitting most of the starters in preseason.
Yeah, it's generally the polar opposite.

I remember the perfect example. In 2003 the New England Patriots lost their 1st game of the season to BUFF, 31-0. Not a misprint, 31-0. Anyone want to take a gander at who won the super bowl that year?

In the regular season, no single game defines what a team will be in the playoffs. Evidence the 07 super bowl winning Giants at 10-6. We beat them by double digits twice in the regular season. They lost to the Vikings 41-17, and the Packers 35-13.

And this is what Jerry doesn't get. The super bowl teams build their roster for the playoffs, Jerry builds his for the regular season. So, what do they do they Jerry won't? Strong DT play, strong S play, good chain moving game, good coaches, and smart roster building in general.

offseason disaster? They drafted 2 olineman that are getting rave reviews. Kneeland getting very positive reviews, and Flournoy looked very good in preseason... Better than Tolbert has ever looked. Yet the offseason was a total disaster......lol
left off

  • Brought in Kendricks, Overshowns back, Liafu
  • since signed Zeke, Cooks, Lawson, Philips, and Joseph, doesn't seem like much but accumulatively IT IS
  • Resigned Lamb, Plus Cooks, Turpin, and Tolbert all look improved and will be better in year 2 of Mikes O
  • Steal of the draft votes Beebee, Carson and add in Guyton could be better than advertised a more physical OL with Steele back better as well.
Zimmer D should be more consistent and less feast or famine...

Fans always looking for the negative Bland , edgoa going down is negative and could leave hole for month but they are coming back..

for me 10wins is attainable 12 could be with a little luck.

Some good points, but I will remind you, Dak has always destroyed the blitz over teams that play coverage. Browns DC runs a blitz heavy scheme. Biggest worry for me is stopping their rushing attack, even without Chubb and protecting against Garrett wrecking the game.

We'll know in the first 5-10 minutes where this game is heading.

If Cleveland can just grind us on the ground and get an early score and Dak and the offense so out there and look inept in the first drive or two, you'll know where this game is heading. Rarely does this team start off really slow against a good team and figure it out as the game goes on.
I honestly don't expect the same old run defense. They are still a tough out though.

You forgot to mention our poor QB Prescott who is starting for the Cowboys and he's only pulling in $29 million this season, so it doesn't bode well for the Boys .....................LOL!

I want a win of course but would be happy to see them play clean football and the chips can fall where they may. Dont want to see a penalty fest as we have witnessed in past 1st games.

Nope, he left for the Titans to work with his son

in that questionable offensive line that the browns have better find a way to keep parsons and Zimmers pressure from anywhere type D from wrecking the game...Watson better be on hit the 2nd step and let it go or long day for the browns as well.

for me that means closer game maybe Cowboys 20-13 win or something in that neighborhood..

heck a close loss blows my TROs ugly loss theory out the window.

Without sorting through all this, I think it's going to really depend on which Watson shows up. From everything I've heard, he still hasn't really looked like his old self especially after this latest surgery/injury.
