Didn't Cleveland put up 50 at our place a few years ago?

I know Watson might be rusty but I have very little confidence in our defense. Diggs is going to play the first time in about a year. No Bland. On the road. It could get ugly.

And on the other side of the ball, will our offense be good enough to sustain drives and keep the defense off the field? I have no clue as the first unit really played none in the preaeason, but that isn't uncommon these days for most teams, especially vets who have played awhile.

I think we are underdogs for a reason, though.

Sorry boys, but I'm not feeling it for Sunday.

1. Dallas was 2-4 last year when facing winning teams...before Packers in playoffs
2. Cleveland had 2nd best defense last year (DVOA rating)
3. The dog pound is loud and emotional & Browns were 8-1 at home last year
4. Guyton facing Myles Garrett in his very first game is too much
5. Dallas has lost 8 of it's last 11 games on grass
6. Cleveland has one of the most complete rosters in NFL
7. First game of season = sloppy. Cleveland can be damp and windy.
That 2-4 metric seems wrong. Just looking I see wins over Eagles, Detroit, Seattle, and Rams who all had winning records.

This is all true. BUT- I think our QB is better than theirs. And if Dak is worth the money he wants, then he will find a way to win this game late in the 4th quarter. A great QB makes up for a lot.

...meh, ...this game will be a shoot out.

I get that feeling, Dak in on Vengeance tour.

He's wanting to prove, why he should be a $60 million man. Cleveland in trouble. ..

He’s stated he’s not trying to reset the market and he’s not going to reset the market. Not sure why this perception is out there. Oh yes I’m sure.

I would feel more confident if the starting offense had gotten some real work in a pre-season game. Some tough games to start the season but they are winnable.

left off

  • Brought in Kendricks, Overshowns back, Liafu
  • since signed Zeke, Cooks, Lawson, Philips, and Joseph, doesn't seem like much but accumulatively IT IS
  • Resigned Lamb, Plus Cooks, Turpin, and Tolbert all look improved and will be better in year 2 of Mikes O
  • Steal of the draft votes Beebee, Carson and add in Guyton could be better than advertised a more physical OL with Steele back better as well.
Zimmer D should be more consistent and less feast or famine...

Fans always looking for the negative Bland , edgoa going down is negative and could leave hole for month but they are coming back..

for me 10wins is attainable 12 could be with a little luck.
you are such a homer..... lol

Many of the so called “fans” here are too blinded by their hate to see ANY positives. This thread is just another example.

I might now be up to 20 reasons we lose. I see this on the scoreboard: 48-6. And a 3-14 season that follows.
I am hoping that won't be the final score, unless it's us with the 48 points. But if it is, I think the McCarthy-era may come to a very quick end; and the calls to not extend Dak will only amplify - if that's possible.

1. Both teams are undefeated right now so uhhhhhh (I get what you're saying though)
3. I can see that being an issue we can only wish our fans had that kind of emotion to help dictate a game!!
4. We don't like to help our OT's out in games that they're struggling in. I can see him getting a few good reps in against him, but others it'll probably look like nobody's blocking him. Wish we had a PASS rusher that could DICTATE games......................................
7. What's offense????? Where's our offense??????? lol, defense will help keep us in the game for a bit
Our defense got exposed against GB...especially some of the best players on that defense. And now we have a new scheme with new players. I'm just not sold on that until I see how it all comes together. I'd have more faith in the continuity of our offense led by Darkwing Duck than our defense keeping us in a game.

Plus if Watson has knocked the rust off, we need to ask if Diggs is still rusty? Cooper will tear his other ACL if he's not careful.

“False start, number seventy eight, offense. Five yard penalty. Repeat third down.”
