He was a headcase at OSU, he stole underwear and cologne, went off on his teammates in jail, had a confrontation with Witten on the practice field, and now this.

It's sorted out. He's a punk, and his teammates detest him. Bye.
What information has been published or broadcast concerning how teammates feel about Randle?

Are you serious? How did you miss this?

He went off on Dez when he was in custody and it got out publicly. Then, he got chippy and started talking noise at practice. Jason Witten walked up to him while they were in stretching formation, got in his face and grabbed him with both hands, and told him to "shut the **** up!" multiple times.

There were stories that the team was considering releasing him right there because, apparently, he's been a bit of a headcase since he got here, just like he was in college.

I'll say it again, Josh Brent.

JJ Wilcox and Dez got in a fist fight in practice. Should Wilcox be cut?

That is why we are all entitled to our own opinion. You have your's and I have mine. Clearly we don't see this one the same way...maybe the next one we will.

I did not miss that.

Countless idiots have run their mouths off at practice. In my time, whenever someone let their mouths cash their checks at practice, a heck of a lot more happened than telling someone to shut up and cussing them out.

So beyond Bryant being righteously pissed at Randle running his mouth about him (which happens a lot when stupid people talk about others), Witten dressing him down in front of everybody at practice (which happens in football quite a bit), innuendo about Randle's release (which did not happen in reality), and Randle's idiocy in college, none of his teammates has publicly stated they detest him. This assumption is based upon reading between the lines interpretation. Thanks. That's all I was asking.

That all got papered over very quickly. With Dez referring to Randle (I think) as his boy a day or two later.

The impression I always got from the team was that they thought Randle was a sort of lovable chucklehead who was doing enough stupid things to jeopardize his career rotational RB status. It never sounded as much like dislike for him as much as them believing he needed to grow up.

In any event, there's no way teams are going to start releasing players based off of allegations, anyway. And certainly not in an offseason where it's just going to seriously erode your bargaining position with your FA starter. You put a lid on this, decide what your'e going to do at RB, and then if anything you put Randle in the hot box in camp. If you like your RB talent, maybe Williams or a rookie gets his spot since you probably can't depend on him. If you need the extra RB, you keep him another year and then sort it out after that.

Mid/late round draft picks don't grow on trees. If you hit on a guy (in a relative sense), he's even more valuable than the pick it might take to replace him. We need those picks elsewhere, so we'll use them there and deal with the RB position as a whole sometime after the start of FA once we have a better sense for market value on Murray.

Dez was one of the 1st and most hyped to congratulate Randle when he scored a TD on that Wow run that he had.

I don't see the Josh Brent comparisons at all, either. Brent is looked on as a substance abuser who was involved in a personal and team tragedy. I think the team also wants him to earn a contract to help the Brown family. That's not the same sort of character risk as a guy like Randle. I mean, there's definitely some big issues with Josh Brent, but they're not treating him at all like a risk to anybody but himself at this point.

I am not sure if you are being serious with these analogies.

yeah, lets compare two team mates competing on the field to a player off the field pointing a gun and threatening women and children at a hotel....the word ridiculous comes to mind

:huh:Its wild how many people have condemned a player who has been only accused and not proven guilty of anything. Why not wait till everything is sorted out?

Because the stuff this kid is doing is embarrassing. Barry Switzer embarrassing

Well put. Even to compare him with Brent is ridiculous. Randle is a boob

Ignoring context is far more ridiculous than anything I said.

You mean when he ran through that gaping hole that 100 other backs could have scored on?

This is a backup nobody. Not worth all this.

Once again I call on all the Randle supporters . Please defend this this so I may see how delusional we can be.

If I had a gun pointed at me why would I remain at the scene. I would get out of dodge so fast, but this woman hangs around the front of the building. She mentions broken window, weed and then tells 911 don't worry about it we talked it out and it was just a misunderstanding. Sorry this story has more holes than swiss cheese and this women is a looney tune.

Guns, weed, Underoos, and Brut by Faberge.

No interpretation needed for that.

It's not coincidental that they don't play him much. He's gone soon, with Ryan Williams stepping into his backup role.
