Look at how he ranks in TD’s inside the 20. Better than both Mahomes and Rogers.
Stats - There are lies, dang lies, and stats.
Stats - What they reveal is nice but what they hide is vital.
You are just looking at the number of TDs. That is one way to judge but not the best way. Here is the link you want. This is team red zone TD efficiency.

1) That is the gold standard for the red zone. As you can see, the Cowboys under Dak ranked #16 in 2019, #26 in 2018, #7 in 2017, and #5 in 2016. In 2020, up until Prescott got hurt, the Cowboys were #8. The Cowboys ended the year at #29.
2) Even this stat - Red Zone TD Efficiency - can give some false positive data. Sometimes a team can look better in the red zone if the scores are during garbage time (not saying this is the case but it needs explored). Sometimes a team only needs to burn clock and play it safe and get a FG. That hurts the stat but is the right thing to do. Sometimes a team can just kneel down to end the game in the red zone and this hurts the stats. Helps to know context.
3) You are only looking at # of TDs in the red zone. You need to take into account times in the red zone. Shall we using your metric, the number of TDs in the red zone, for QB rushing stats (same link, different tab on the top of the page). It yields some interesting results for QBs rushing in 2019:
Allen, 21 attempts, 75 yards, 9 TDs
Fitz, 16 attempts, 46 yards, 4 TDs
Dak, 14 attempts, 46 yards, 3 TDs
Watson, 14 attempts, 38 yards, 6 TDs
Brady, 11 attempts, 8 yards, 3 TDs
Dalton, 7 attempts, 19 yards, 4 TDs
Care to analyze the above data using # of TDs for rushing QBs in the red zone? Yeah, didn't think so.
4) Thanks for the link, though. There is some good data there. For example, the Cowboys ran the ball around 76 times in the red zone and passed 61 times. Elliott had 59 carries, Pollard 2 carries, Austin 1 carry and Dak ran 14 times. Let that be some data for those that complain that the Cowboys don't run the ball often enough in the red zone.
