I agree but according to Romo, most of what he does on the sideline is positive, excepting the obvious. I do not see that as a distraction, in any case. If these guys get discombobulated with that, they're the ones that need to go.I think watching Dez' tantrums are getting as old watching Garretts' clapping.
If we hadn't known what Irvin was doing after the fact, how might we have construed his emotion on the sideline? He looked mad to me. I can remember every game Madden did, he made the same comment "they need to get Michael Irvin involved early on". Irvin was a different player when they did that but as the game wore on and his involvement was diminishing, he wasn't the same player.
Not defending Dez at all because I don't like his behavior but if we're going to keep him, use him. Going got pay him as a #1WR use him just as that as they did Irvin. The Cowboys had Emmitt but they made sure to keep Irvin right up there with him so he didn't feel slighted because that position is second only to QB in ego. Has Dez become the forgotten superstar with Dak and Zeke showing up?
The problem the Cowboys have created is one of Dez feeling he's not important, not wanted. The attempt to get Watkins, a totally unproven commodity as a #1WR and ability to stay healthy, has sent the message. And all of this route running BS is just that. He's the same route runner he was when they did that second contract. I think they screwed the pooch with him and keeping him may not be the smart thing to do now. Dez filters through the emotion and his lash out at fans about kiss my *** demonstrates that....that message was meant for the team, not just those fans.
