There no plan for any team, some pay a kings ransom like SF with TL, some luck into one some pay heavily for a vet like Watson but most teams look to upgrade in Dallas they don’t do that Jerry likes his guy end of story. You draft and don’t be afraid to change when you see better at practice but in Dallas Jerry just doesn’t want honest competition. SF traded a QB they paid a steep price for, jettisoned JG had the courage to do it, no way Jerry would do that. You fix what is broken with PS QBs and entitled starters with a yes man HC.Dak will be getting another big payday because Jerry’s ego will not let him admit he’s made a colossal blunder with Dak.

The unknown right now is better than the known that Dak brings you.

Bench Dak, give Lance some play time and see what he's got. If he does good, then we go into 2024 with him. If he sucks then we start drafting QBs like there was no tomorrow.

You don't have to be tanking just because you're going to try other options. Everyone said AZ was tanking but they are fighting to the end of every game.

You throw in Lance or Rush and see what happens. You play to win and see if maybe you find the next hidden gem. Maybe one of them goes nuts and we win a bunch of games. We know this team isn't winning anything this year with Dak. Maybe an early playoff exit at best. We've seen Daks ceiling. It ain't good enough. Let's see what we have and if it isn't enough we will know that soon enough too and we will be in a position to draft another qb and see what they've got.

nah. that's just a bad contract. the extension didn't stop us from signing other players. its inline with rest of NFL.
