We're a bad first quarter offense, and Julius gets most of the first quarter carries.

This is not a coincidence, and it's past time for the coaching staff to realize that needs to be changed.

I think we use JJ perfectly.

As canon fodder to tire out the "D".

After we run him awhile, MBIII runs thru a more tired "D"

Use him up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

I think Julius tires our blockers out.

It's gotta be tough having him slam into your back instead of the hole over and over again.

I noticed that JJ starts and then stops during some of his runs. He is just asking to be hit sometimes.

I feel the same way. If Julius ever gets an opportunity to be a feature back again, if he can correct his deficiencies and be used the right way, I can see him being like another Tiki Barber. But that's easier said than done.

Uh, Tiki Barber had vision and could make cuts... JJ just runs into the OL...

Before this year, I have been a die hard Julius Jones fan and have defended him when I could, but after just a few games and still to this day this year I think he is a waste of talent on the field. He does not seem to bust any more yards than any scrub on the street could.

I seriously think he only hurts us on offense. he has no strength, can't juke to save his life, and basically VERY poor vision. The ONLY thing he has is speed. That is only good if the hole is there, otherwise he is down everytime.

No fooling anyone here, Barber needs to start and stay in the game.

but I can bet any money that Jones will not be here next year, so why waste time.

He just has the unfortunate burden of two things: Being a No. 1 draft pick, of which I agree he's underachieved.

The Cowboys chose Jones in the second round with the 43rd selection overall.

To save you some grief in this tremendous analysis go to The Dallas Cowboys web site and pull up JJ's bio. The last time a RB was chosen higher by Dallas was Emmitt Smith of blessed memory. The bio also shows where he stands in terms of all of Dallas best RBs. I think you will all be surprised.

Notice, I did say "IF Julius can ever get it together", I can see him becoming like a Tiki Barber.

The same could be said about half the RBs in the NFL.

The reason JuJo doesn't "Get it together" is cuz there is nothing there to "Get together". He is what he is. A solid, average RB that will occasionally have a crazy game.

I agree...but sadly I think that is what he has BECOME.....what he was, was something much more until it was coached out of him.

so I went ahead and read that BIO and I think this line from it sums up just how accurate it is

"Jones brings excellent vision and balance to the Dallas ground game"
