funny story
It's because a lot of non Cowboy fans don't watch Romo play, they hear the non sense the media spews and run with it. Most Cowboy fans who actually keep up with the team and watch all the games, think that Romo is a helluva QB. He may not be elite (Brady, Rodgers, Manning, Brees), but he's definitely one of the top notch QBs in the league.
lol Really? Have your read some Cowboy fans on this forum?

Apart from the question of ability, what surprises me is the negative perception of him as a person since he appears pretty likeable from my perspective.
I was wearing a Cowboys Hall of Famers shirt at the grocery store when one of the stock boys started giving me flak. A Lions fan, no less.
I was incredulous, but polite. (Like I need to debate a stock boy about the relative merits of the Cowboys and Lions franchises.)
"Actually," he said, "I always liked the Cowboys, until they got Tony Romo. That guy is the biggest crybaby ever."
Yep.
He'll probably be working for ESPN soon.

Romo's a cry baby?
Who was it that played against the 49ers with at least one fractured rib and led them to an Overtime win?
Who was it that played against the Commanders with a herniated disc in his back and led them to a 24-23 comeback win?
When you five see a 5 page thread about a Detroit Lions Fan, you know your Franchise has hit a new low.

Stafford looks like more of a crybaby to me!

I think Lions fans should be more concerned about winning a playoff game for the first time since 1991. Last time Detroit won a playoff game I was 2 years old. I'm 26 now. The Lions suck.
Who did they beat then!?!?!?!?!
Hopefully our arrow is still pointing up again .... that tells a whole story within itself right there....most teams and most years in Dallas could swear the arrow is pointing up every...single...year...but not this time, the reality is that the Dallas Cowboys will be lucky to stumble into a 3-4 win Season and a Franchise QB, instead of a 5-11 to 8-8 non-QB draft choice. At least the Cowboys arrow was pointing up then. I'll take what we've achieved over their history any day. And our draft picks haven't been consistently top five, top ten, like theirs. We've done more with less, mediocrity and all. Hopefully our arrow will start pointing up again.
