It is stupid to focus on.

But given how garbage Brad Johnson was, don't you think that's a little alarming?

I don't consider that Roy's fault though. Brad could throw him a td. Kitna could get him the ball in that hell hole Detroit. But for some reason Tony can't:confused:

Roy hasn't been a red zone target for the most part. That does not mean he isn't vital to this team.

I dont place the blame for Roy's lack of production on anyone but the coaches and in some instances, Romo.

If you watch WR's around the league play, they dont all have to have two steps on the guy they're covering to get the ball. If you deliver the ball in the right spot, a WR like Roy should be able to make the play. And if your o coordinator can scheme, he should be able to take advantage of a guy with hands like Roy.

If you watch Colston play for the Saints, a guy that has to be as fast, if not slower than Roy, Brees gets the ball in position for him to make plays. Not every succesful receiver in this league is able to simply blow away the guy defending them, this is the NFL.

You should care. Because we gave up a first, third and 45 mil for a WR who can't score TD's.

Moving chains you say? That's fine, but you could find that alot cheaper.

No I don't think you can. Being able to move the chains is priceless.

I don’t know if i would say any of those draft picks are better than 11 yet. But i have been very disappointed in him. You can blab about his great blocking, but Wide Receivers are paid to catch balls. Roy is a big guy, i hope that he can block ... it’s like saying a fat girl can eat. If it’s about effort well hell, he has to do something productive on the field.

He needs to create plays on his own like Austin did. Of all the passes to Miles that impressed me the most, was the deep throw where the DB had better position and he leaps over him and snatches the ball. That is making a play! Compare that to the long pass to 11 right before the half in the Giants game or the fade against the Panthers.

Plus he should have been in the game to catch those slants. Other players have done it before...i don’t have to be an athlete to comprehend that.

I will never care for petty stuff about salaries, and this crap. I care about guys who make a football team better. Roy does. I am sorry that a bunch of myopic people cannot see how. Not my problem.

Louis Murphy does it in Oakland.

Cost=4th round and 700k.

Pretty damn cheap

The trade has been crap so far.

I hope it turns around but for what the team has gained they paid too much. Hate to say it that's it.

the trade was supposed to help us the same season. it just didn't work out. draft guys wouldn't have done anything for us(unfortunately williams didn't either).

The salaries is just part of it. I care what goes on the football field too and well..he's not getting it done there.

I don't see much of a dropoff from Roy Williams to Hakeem Nicks. Both make the football team better. It's a coin toss between those two.

I have no hatred toward Roy. It's probably not his fault. It's what happens when you have a UDFA throwing to him and boy wonder drawing up plays.

Percy Harvin, Kenny Britt or Hakeem Nicks would've made this team better as well. Do you really see a huge discrepancy between RW and the WR's I mentioned? Maybe they wouldn't "downfield block" as well as Roy, but WR's are paid to catch the ball and MAKE PLAYS. Roy has caught the ball somewhat but hasn't made any big plays with the exception of the play against the horrid Tampa Bay defense. Geez even Crayton went for 80 yards.

I do think someone like Harvin is more of a dynamic threat than Roy.

But I keep going back to the Denver game where Roy catches a ball with his hands (like a good WR should do) with Champ trying desperately to no avail at knocking the ball loose, thus extending the drive, and leading to a score.

Its little stuff like that, while Roy didn't "score" a TD... he most certainly contributed to the points scored on that drive.

Maybe he isn't worth what we gave up for him (jury is still out).... but I'd be lying if I said I'm not glad he is a Cowboy.
