Not even the sidelines bro...it's great to sit in your vibrating back-massage La-Z-Boy and have all the answers. Or the 400 level at the stadium.

That's not what I'm saying at all. People can lower thier expectations all they want. In fact that not something you can actually control.
Your expectations are high or thier not. And who could not expect less going forward after this past month.

What I am saying is that there truely is no escape. Sorry to hear it. If you're a fan you're feeling PAIN!

All you can do is hope for the best because only success will ease the PAIN.

We all feel the pain. I just now have some vicodin.

As hard as it is to believe, we're still only 4 games in, very long season. I won't panic until the fat lady sings.

Why does it always have to be a fat lady?

What about a skinny one for a change? Maybe then the Cowboys might win a game?

Message to all Cowboy fans...........There is no escaping this.

I don't care what you're expectations were or what they've been lowered to.

If this team doesn't achieve significant post season success we are all going to feel PAIN!

PAIN PAIN PAIN.........and MISERY!

Oh.......and I forgot humiliation. Other fans will mock us and kick dirt in our face!
No one is trying to escape anything.

What we witnessed yesterday is another example of a team that lacks character, heart and a kill attitude. We have seen it before in recent years, yet many of you still hold out hope that things will change. You say we have more talent than most teams. Do we really? I dont think so.

Last year we had 44-6, so we cleaned house. Blah Blah. Nothing has changed.

Put the Cowboys Kool-Aid down. 2007 was a mirage as well as the 13 Pro-Bowlers that came with it. The Cowboys are an average team with a decent QB who in my opinion still does not get it. Is he all to blame, of course not.

From top down, the Cowboys do not display the strength it takes to get it done. What do I mean? When other teams (say Eagles and Giants) go through rough stretches, they have the leadership in coaching, front office and player to ride it out and come back. How many times have we written the Birds off only to see them rally and make a run? That does not happen here.

Our team makeup does not have that intestinal fortitude. When players are not held accountable because a.) your coach is a figurehead, or b.) you can go over his head to the big BOSS, that is not a good thing. Heck, I haven't even mentioned who controls the draft.

Think about that in your work lives. What if you are a manager and your employees go over head, you have no power nor command any respect.

What we also witnessed yesterday is the end of the Wade Phillips regime. As I have stated before, I have viewed 2009 as a transition year. They will run more and put less pressure on Romo. In theory it sounds good, but Romo has not been great this year. I still think he can improve (better than the dark ages of 2000-2005) and am willing to give him through 2010. He needs a QB coach that can work with him and make him capable of realizing his full potential.

So they will win some games this year and lose others. They are not a playoff team. The Cowboys are more pretenders than anything else. 2010 will bring about some new coaches and players, but if nothing changes at the top, expect the same old same old.

I would love to be wrong about them but I don't think I am.

Stop living for the nineties. It was a long, long time ago.

Simply put, we're only 4 games in and there are 12 games to go. If I'm not mistaken, San Diego was 4 and 8 with December games left to play and they ran the table last year to squeak into the playoffs. The 2009-2010 season is not even to that point yet.

I'm mad and disgusted at what I witnessed yesterday from my favorite team. I do expect better from the Cowboys and yes, the sun will rise again in Big D. How much better will the team play in the future, moderately or extremely, is yet to be witnessed. I am not looking to jump into the well over the last two losses and I don't want to see any knee jerk reactions by the Cowboy front office because those kind of reactions are reserved for teams like the Redskinks, Brownies, and the Lambs.

I'm going to reserve final judgement like I have for the last several years until that last magical month of December. Keep your hopes up ladies and gents.

Who will have the better season, tarnished star?

You spent the whole off season in denial. You still are.

You know, every year there is a team that is mired at 5-5 or so around mid season and runs off a string of games to get into the playoffs and make some noise.

The Cowboys don't look like a team that is going to threaten anyone, but at the same time they have a lot of talented players are just a few plays from being 4-0.

I'm not optimistic about the wide receivers suddenly getting open all the time or Romo hitting them every time they are, which are two things that have to improve for this team to do anything. Nevertheless, I think it's too early to write the season off unless being right and saying "I told you so" is more important to you than objective analysis.

I think what frustrates me is that we all knew that bringing Wade back for another year was going to result in more of the same. That's exactly what we have, more of the same. More of the same crappy tackling, more of the same all too often Romo mistakes, more of the same weak willed, fold up and die attitude. What's worse is that Romo is regressing at QB, and the defense, while hanging in there most of the game, still CANNOT get a stop when the team needs it most.

I wanted to see changes in the right directions this year even if we didn't win a playoff game. The only thing that has actually improved are the special teams.

I have been burned so many times by this team when I would say to myself, "surely this will piss off the players on this team, and they will look in the mirror, realize they need to man up, and DO IT." But they never do. Its like I am Charlie Brown, and this time ******, I am going to kick that football that Lucy is holding. After a while, even Charlie Brown doesn't try to kick that football anymore. That doesn't mean I am giving up on the team. That would be impossible for me to do. What it does mean is that I expect them to fail. I am trying to not get upset at the team, but its honestly worse watching what should be a good team play like the 3 stooges time after time, then it is watching a bad team that at least tries hard at getting better.
