You are the idiotic one as you don't get the posts. You can't even sniff the Super Bowl if you don't have leadership and accountability as well as good coaching. Do we have that? No
Have the Cowboys won any playoff games since you 1996? No
Do you REALLY believe that this version of the Cowboys (like many before them) will get over the hump? Maybe you do. I do not
But If it makes you feel better, I'll come over, give you some warm milk, tuck you in and read you some Roger Staubach bedtime stories and you can dream about how this current version of the Cowboys will run roughshod over the rest of the league starting next week.. Heck, you may even wake up in a cold sweat calling out, "WADEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!"
I understand teams lose. What makes you think the problems will be fixed by Decemeber? You are betting against a disturbing trend.ShiningStar;2995244 said:Stop proving me right, its getting annoying tonite. im so sorry we faced the so called best defense in the NFL and we could beat it. So its a lesson learned, and hopefully we did.
We faced the Giants and lost and i am happy about that because the previous years when we came out on fire we fluttered in the end. As i pointed out to you, id rather have our problems now and iron them out than in december when you run out of time.
You would remember when your team came out red hot a few years ago and did well til the Steelers figured out the Eagles and down they went after that.
Dallas has started out hot recently and faltered down the stretch, again, id rather they do that and get in together in December instead of failining.
I have news for you, all, except 1 of them, all the SB teams had losses along with their wins. 2 losses will not kill us if we learned from them. Losing to Denver was nothing to be ashamed of. Again, the Giants loss was better, because id rather beat them in the second game, but you FAIL to realize this, i understand, you dont understand the game of football and that teams will lose.
Joe Realist;2995249 said:I understand teams lose. I also understand you believe this team can win the Super Bowl. That's ok. The train is coming. Keep looking at the pretty light.....
We agree on one thing. Dallas is our team, that's it.ShiningStar;2995255 said:The Giants proved it, you dont even have to beat a good team during the season if you hit all the bad teams at the right time.
Math, much as it eludes you, does effect the season.
Teams can lose, teams can learn, teams get second chances in their division. This is simple stuff that happens every year.
I dont care if Dallas wins the Sb, i dont root for SB's i root for my team. And, if you are still a fan of the Eagles, you would understand. Its about our teams, not what they do.
I dont get paid if Dallas wins, I dont buy product to give millionaires more money. I dont receive a check for playoff wins. I am a fan, win or lose, I enjoy myself, you may hate it, but i dont.
You brought up the SB wins and says I believe they can do it and yes every team gets that chance at first, than its narrowed down, but win or lose DaLLAS IS MY TEAM if you dont like it, GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still have my T Dorsett rookie cards, etc.
And let me tell you, I hope they prove me wrong. (and I've been saying that for what seems a long, long time)
But trying to be objective, given what we know of this team for the past few years, this year seems to be a similar pattern.
For whatever reason, and it's not just Romo's fault, or Wade's fault, or the Secondary's fault, this team just doesn't seem to have what it takes to deal with pressure.
And it's not solely based on being 2-2 this year. But this year thus far seems to be like groundhog day - it happens every year, if you know what I mean.
Of course, one day we will turn that corner. I have no doubt.
But hand on heart, I doubt it's going to be with Wade as our HC.

We make the playoffs and do well ,This team will be better...

We have seen it before in recent years, yet many of you still hold out hope that things will change. You say we have more talent than most teams. Do we really? I dont think so.
Last year we had 44-6, so we cleaned house. Blah Blah. Nothing has changed.
Put the Cowboys Kool-Aid down. 2007 was a mirage as well as the 13 Pro-Bowlers that came with it. The Cowboys are an average team with a decent QB who in my opinion still does not get it. Is he all to blame, of course not.
From top down, the Cowboys do not display the strength it takes to get it done. What do I mean? When other teams (say Eagles and Giants) go through rough stretches, they have the leadership in coaching, front office and player to ride it out and come back. How many times have we written the Birds off only to see them rally and make a run? That does not happen here.
Our team makeup does not have that intestinal fortitude. When players are not held accountable because a.) your coach is a figurehead, or b.) you can go over his head to the big BOSS, that is not a good thing. Heck, I haven't even mentioned who controls the draft.
Think about that in your work lives. What if you are a manager and your employees go over head, you have no power nor command any respect.
What we also witnessed yesterday is the end of the Wade Phillips regime. As I have stated before, I have viewed 2009 as a transition year. They will run more and put less pressure on Romo. In theory it sounds good, but Romo has not been great this year. I still think he can improve (better than the dark ages of 2000-2005) and am willing to give him through 2010. He needs a QB coach that can work with him and make him capable of realizing his full potential.
So they will win some games this year and lose others. They are not a playoff team. The Cowboys are more pretenders than anything else. 2010 will bring about some new coaches and players, but if nothing changes at the top, expect the same old same old.
I would love to be wrong about them but I don't think I am.
Stop living for the nineties. It was a long, long time ago.

Your expectations are high or thier not. And who could not expect less going forward after this past month.
What I am saying is that there truely is no escape. Sorry to hear it. If you're a fan you're feeling PAIN!
All you can do is hope for the best because only success will ease the PAIN.
