According to the media and some fans here, the season's over

No, because Dallas isn't winning 3 games in a row.

It certainly is possible for the Lions to lose 2 games and Seahawks lose 1. If we lose game, we aren't winning division. But still have a decent shot at wildcard.

Stop the negativity guys. I'm as real as they come and I think we have a really good shot at winning all 3 of these games.

I consider myself a "realist" as well and I think if we get out of the 1st quarter not getting down 2 TD's we are going to knock them on their *** and win.

According to the media, and now an amazing amount of "die hard" Cowboys fans here, why don't we just pack it up and stop playing and watching right now?

I mean everyone knows, the Seahawks are going to win out, Detroit is going win out, Arizona isn't winning the division,SF can't beat Seattle, and the Cowboys can't win the division either. , , etc.etc.etc....

Everyone knows the Packers are going to the SB, and most likely against the Pats or Broncos. There is no need to play out the remaining games!!!!

Wow, I'm as much of a realist as anyone. But what I'm reading and what I'm seeing from Fans here amazes me....

I'm a wait and see type guy and eternal optimist, so to me it's never over til math says it is. But we no longer control our own destiny. I hate that.

Coult44 Dallas just wins next Sunday they will be fine and they will end season strong. The Eagles will lose this Sunday. Mark my words.

I think this statement is pretty accurate minus Detroit winning out. No way Detroit beats GB in GB the last week of the season. Also, GB doesn't have a lock on going to the super bowl. Seattle is a team that can beat GB. They have the defense to slow down Rodgers. It probably will be the Pats or Broncos in the super bowl for the AFC. More than likely the Pats. They are the most well rounded team in the NFL right now and will more than likely have home field advantage through the playoffs.

The Cowboys still have a slight chance if they don't become the team of old. Our recent history against teams over .500 is really bad. The odds of us beating Philly and Indy back to back doesn't sound great. We can't even afford 1 loss so we have to win out. I think our odds are extremely slim but you never know.

It's not over! Was it over when the Germans bombed the Alamo? Heck no! I say we go into Medicine Tail Coulee full assault and see what happens before we declare a massacre and call the season.

We do control our own destiny. As long as we win out, we are in the playoffs.

At this point, I honestly am going into the last 3 games not expecting us to make the playoffs. It's going to be an extremely tough stretch that isn't likely to pan out given we're going to have to win the division. And even if we did somehow make it, with our horrendous D, Where would we be going anyway? In short, I'm expecting the worst, but hoping for the best.

You have company. Odds are they need to win out to get in. 12-4 seems a little much for this group. I'm expecting a big win this Sunday and then a loss the next week.

But could they get hot and run off a few wins? Sure. They have the formula with the run game. Which is more than I could say prior years.

I can't even imagine going 11-5 and missing the playoffs. What are you supposed to think about that? That's a playoff caliber season but you still didn't do enough to get in.

Talk about mixed emotions and not knowing how to respond. I'll probably just rip Jerry.

Based on what this team has shown me, I think they win one more game at best.

They were manhandled on both sides of the ball the last time they played the Eagles, but some want to simply throw out that fact and believe 'hope' will lead to a win. That loss was convincing, and it was enough to show me how far they still have to go to be a true playoff contender. I don't see a reverse outcome just a few weeks later.

And the Colts possess arguably the league's best passing attack. Does anyone like our secondary's chances against that? I don't. Not to mention it's a dreaded home game! I'm not forecasting a win there either.

And the last game of the season is against the team that snapped our winning streak and showed the blueprint of how to beat us. All of Washington's issues aside, they knew how to handle us and would like nothing more than to end a frustrating season by handing a hated rival another loss. They will be plenty motivated. But I believe that we're just much more talented all around to be outplayed and outcoached that badly again so I think they should win this one.

And I won't be terribly disappointed by a 10-6 season and will look forward to continuing to improve, add to a defense with plenty of needs, and get our contracts/cap situation in order for the future.

Especially considering that a pathetic, undeserving team from the NFC South will be there instead.

And then have to watch the NFL clumsily try to fix the situation after the fact when everyone clearly sees it coming.
