Well....Okay.
I guess you just have much more serious outlook at life than I do.:espn:

Maybe. I just don't support talking heads. Most of what they say seems to be just nonsense aimed at stirring people up so they will give them views. I'm not interested in that. Used to, even commentary was somewhat based on the facts instead of just full conjecture and nonsense. I prefer to get my kicks elsewhere.

If we don't go to the Super Bowl, it's a complete indictment of Jerry Jones. Dak is here because Jerry overpaid him. That's not Dak's fault.

It is still hung over Tony Romo's head that he didn't win but Patrick Crayton dropped a sure TD pass, the TE dropped a TD pass, Murray fumbled the ball, etc. I get what your saying but the same rules apply. But this isn't about Romo this is about the whole team. I agree with what Acho is saying. The whole team is good enough to get to the Super Bowl. Top 5 defense, top ten running game, adequate WRs etc. If Dak is a top 15 to top 10 QB in the NFL then he should be able to take us there.

One thing I do strongly believe is if we don't go to the Super Bowl barring major injuries. We have a QB problem, a coach problem or a QB/coach problem. When Dak comes back and our offense struggles I'm not willing to say it's all Dak. That's too black and white. Too simplistic. I really feel when Dak comes back and we start having massive TOs, offense stalls, don't win then I'm really questioning the relationship Dak has with the coaches, especially Moore. Cuz if Moore can get the best out of Rush then he can get the best out of Dak. If not something is wrong here. Anyway short version Dak has the team to do it and if he doesn't either it's on him, or the coach or their relationship.

You gave a good example of the team game aspect, kind of backed it up and then sort of ignored it. We absolutely do not know what is going to happen in the playoffs. Last year, San Fran essentially ran over our defense, we had multiple mistakes by multiple players on offense, and we lost by six. Was Dak good enough? No. But he wasn't the only reason we lost.

Let's say in the playoffs, we're down by two with a minute and a half remaining. Dak completes three to four passes and we're in field goal range, but Maher pulls the kick. Do we say that's a complete indictment of Dak? I'm not sure we can blame it on coaching or their relationship, either, without knowing what happens.

A good example from last year's game for me was a play-call from Moore that I thought was very good. Our offense was having trouble moving the ball against a pretty stout defense. Dak threw over the middle to Wilson who immediately threw a lateral to the sideline to Pollard, only Wilson threw a bad lateral on a play where Pollard had the sideline and might have gone for a TD. Good coaching, good execution by the QB, bad pass by Wilson. Maybe we still don't win if we hit on that play, but maybe it's the difference between winning and losing.

there is truth , with this defense and run game if Dak cant take us to SB , then he will never be able to.

OL needs to gel and play with more harmony , WRs and TEs need to step it up , but this D definitely gives us hope for a longer playoff run.

How many other QB's are supposed to lead their team to a Super Bowl with a broken throwing hand? Just curious. How many times in the history of the NFL has that happened? 5? 10? Ever? I am not the Dak cheerleader, but some of this **** gets ridiculous.
You realize he's talking about when he gets back right...no more excuses for Dak when he is healthy. Your prepared to make some for him though I see. This dude has a TOP D and some key weapons.

Football IS a team game, but what happens if Dak comes back and things just start to look bad again? He starts audibling out of all the runs? Do you believe Dak, right now, is ever sitting back and throwing only 16 passes in a game even if it's the right thing to do?

Football IS a team game, but when you play the most important position on the team and you have control to change the plays at the line, then you have the power to derail things.

We'll have to wait and see what happens. What if the offense starts scoring almost 30 points a game and gets back closer to being No. 1 in the league again?

I have my questions about Dak because he hasn't looked the same since his midseason injury last year. But before that, he was looking like an MVP candidate last season. One thing that has been good while he's been out this year is that we seem to have figured out some things on offense that should make us much better if he can return to form. If it falls apart and he's the reason for it, then there's no problem blaming him. If the offense is playing better, and we lose, then there's no reason to blame him. Saying it would be a complete indictment without know what is going to happen is foolish and just they type of statement you make to stir things up.

I go back to Romo and the problems that we had as a team (particularly on defense) when he was quarterback. Romo wasn't the reason we didn't make a Super Bowl or even multiple Super Bowls. Did he contribute to our failures at times? Yes, but he was far from being the reason we failed, and he still gets saddled with it at times because he was the quarterback.

The #1 offense is the league led us to 8-8 in 2019 and a Wild Card loss in 2021. Both of those offenses run the stats up on bad teams and was shut down by basically every decent defense they played against.

I don't care about having the #1 offense. I care that we have more points than the other team at the end of the game. That's it.

When Dak comes back and we get pass happy again and I have to read junk like "Kellen Moore won't run the ball! He sucks!" as if there is not a different player at QB then it's an issue.

We're playing smart and not turning the ball over right now. If Dak can do that, great, but I don't think Dak's ego will allow him to do that.

Defense was not good enough in 2019, and the No. 1 offense label last year is misleading. We were great on offense the first half of the season and it showed with some victories over some quality teams. We struggled on offense against any good team after Prescott's and Elliott's injuries.

We'll see how it goes. I know you don't like Dak so your expectations are low, but I prefer to judge what I see, not what is speculated.

I've seen 6 years' worth of Dak.

If that's not enough to time to know what kind of QB he is or isn't then I don't know how long to wait.

It's not speculation about Dak anymore.

Speculation is saying things like "Cooper Rush can't lead us to enough points to win a shoot out" when he's never had to.

You've seen mainly bad defense. The same problem that we had before Dak. If you can't acknowledge that was the main problem, then you're blinded by how you feel about Prescott.

I don't know what Cooper Rush can do and I'm not for pulling him if we beat Philly, but Dak has had some really good years at quarterback where other aspects of the game let the team down. That's not hard to see unless you don't want to.

Now, as I said, I don't know what Dak we have now. If it's the same one we had the second half of last season or in the first game this season, we might be just as well off or even better off with Rush. However, we've also changed our approach some since Dak went back, so Dak doesn't necessarily need to be the player he was before the injury last year.

I'm not sure why I'm trying to talk sense with you on this subject based on your clear feelings about the player. I guess I just think everyone can be rational.

So random dude on tv knows all. Knows when Dak (who I never really liked) will be fully healed. People says dumb stuff on tv and the web all the time. So Dak comes back, say week 10 and is allegedly healthy, the Super Bowl Championship all comes down to him and his repaired throwing hand. You know that is stupid, right?

I'd at least wait until he's played more than 3/4 of a game before blaming him for us not winning a super bowl.
The crazies on both sides of the Dak thing are starting to piss me off. Just enjoy the season and see how it plays out. Stupid absolutes are just nuts and intended to incite the emotional goof balls.

I guess what I took a long time to say is if Moore can coach up Rush to beat the defending Champions and the defending AFC champions during this 4 game win streak but all of a sudden loses his playcalling ability goes to crap then we have a new issue. What's going on with Moore and Dak? How can Moore get the best out of Rush but then lose his touch with Dak. Then we got to look at is this a QB coach relationship issue? Is this the coaches don't understand or know Dak's skill set? Or is Dak not any good or not coachable. I have a hard time seeing the coaches squeeze the absolute best out of Rush but then drop the ball with Dak.

I also agree with you if one person doesn't do their job, ala a missed kick to tie or a dropped TD pass then the QB shouldn't be blamed for the loss. That's why I referenced the Romo examples.

But my main point was it is a team game but I'm concerned with how Rush seemed to get coached up and there wasn't any massive mistakes by the coaches during this win streak. So if the coaches start to suck when Dak comes back and we start losing then I question the relationship with Dak and the coaches. I don't think it's black and white of Dak sucks or Dak is awesome. Sometimes I wonder if the coaches have a false sense of security that Dak can win games on his own. I don't know, we'll see. It'll be interesting and fun to watch, more fun when we win

I dont expect anyone to ever get the Super Bowl so it is unfair to put that on Dak this year. I would be highly disappointed if they don't win at least one playoff game.
