Would we get closure if he leaves? It feels more like opening a new hole on our team that we will need to fill.

I didn't mean that... you're putting words in my mouth based off your emotion... I meant we need to know what's next, rather than keep talking about this over and over again...
you've never read a bad word about murray from me....

Fake Ian Rapoport is at it again on Twitter. Too funny.

Again I have no issue letting Murray go, but this lack of any clear plan to improve this porous defense is worrisome.

and you'd be doing what to fix it? i agree we've still got some work to do but unless you believe hardy is the sole answer, who else is there that would be an IMPACT player to solve it all? there won't be 1 player to do it. there will be several changes to the defense overall with who's already left and who isn't likely to stay.

but hey, let's pretend the season starts tomorrow. it's more fun for the hand wringers.

Go to a division rival? And the Eagles?! I no longer care for you Mr. Murray. I hope your replacement breaks 2000 yds and doesn't fumble in the playoffs. Oh and have fun playing with Mark Sanchez cause Bradford will not last a whole year.

And get ready to be booed at the drop of a hat. You're an Eagle now.

Even if he does he won't be very productive. He's played 2 full seasons in 4 years and his highest # of TDs is 21 and his highest completion % is 60.7.

If Murray played for Jimmy, Parcells or Belichick, you all think he would have had 400 touches? No way. If you fumble, you sit.

No more of a 'gamble' than paying a back with Murray's injury history and one great year.

If you ask outside of Dallas or around the league, nobody is taking Murray over Peterson.

in all fairness, who's lining up for peterson, outside some cowboys fans?

Again, it's not an issue of Murray over AP. Unless it's at the right price I'm fine with neither.

But to be fair, it was with the Rams. Philly has a better OL than the Rams did and with Murray, Sproles, Matthews, Ertz have some better weapons. Health will be key for Bradford.

yes he is a future HOF player he is also a man who is about to hit 30 and based on reports is not looking to give any discount. If Dallas is not going to pony up for a RB still in his prime they would be stupid to pony up on a guy who is on the downhill side of his career. His 2013 season was very human like when he rushed for 1,266 yards and fumbled it 5 times. AP has been a great back through out his career but he is still a man

I haven't heard AP say anything about wanting the 12 or 13 mil a year. Don't believe every report that comes out.

well that's how much of the fanbase has built it, and the media fueling it doesn't help calm things down. but honestly, some are true fans of peterson and would love to see what he could do here. i'm not one of 'em due to age and past injury history. mostly age. i don't see him signing for less than 3 years and do we really want to do that, even if he's cut and we're given the opportunity?

jones passed on johnny football - if he's the only one in AD's camp, it's not likely AD will be a cowboy.

As am I, as long as by the start of camp we have used those resources on the D and the draft to put a better team on the field.

I appreciate your view but I'm not breaking the bank for any RB in this league again.
For me, it's a big "home town discount" or bust.

And I'm 'going for broke' while we still have Romo.

Different strokes, I can see your point too.

If we get that guy its over.

You're not just investing in the player you're investing in raising the odds of us going to the Superbowl.

He is that kind of player.

Anyone else im fine with getting a bargain but Peterson is a whole other breed. You get him on this roster with the passing game we have and we will own.

12 win season at worst.

Agreed. Would have to draft a back in an early round and shore up the D.
