I would only ask that you look at what he accomplished at Clemson and factor in the Buffalo offensive lines and sharing carries with Fred Jackson, hardly an ideal situation.

I think he can be had for a contract in line with Ingram's 4 years $16 million.

And look at what Darren McFadden accomplished in college and he was stuck sharing carries in Oakland. Plus they have a bad line............hardly an ideal situation.....

I am not saying he is a bum....but just nothing special. But maybe that is what our front office needs. Maybe they are right.....Just can't get too excited about a retread who was considered a bust in another city.

Plus I think he is meeting with the Saints today?

I would think all parties knew the number before he boarded the plane. Maybe not.

Yup, or both sides have a firm number presented to the other side and this is the agent's bluff/feint to get Dallas to blink. That could very well be the question - do the Cowboys add that last couple of million to close the deal.

I should just refrain from commenting because what I want to say about this "process" will probably get me in timeout...

Wow so now Murray is being compared to Ryan Williams...hahaha....
Ryan Williams hasn't played since 2012 when he played only 5 games and averaged 2.8 YPC....He was cut from a team with no good running backs because he was beat out by them. Then he couldn't beat out Dunbar or Randle in Dallas and we cut him just to put him on the practice squad.....This is the guy you are comparing to the AP Offensive Player of the Year who ran for 1845 yards last year? Really?

Seriously?

We just gave him a $240,000 signing bonus!! We cannot afford NOT to use him. ;)

I SINCERELY hope not!

He is, but I will be surprised if he immediately strikes a deal with them for a time share with Ingram. And another question I have, what would the Saints pay Spiller? The same $4 million that they're paying Ingram already? Less than that? An amount that Spiller supposedly turned down in Buffalo?

It could happen, just like this Murray signing, but it would be a surprise to me, especially with Dallas' starting job in flux.

It's not the players fault that the inept front office (in the past presumably) didn't know what they were doing and fell into financial ruins, and now having to cut all their best players to get under the cap, that's on our front office. They are doing what every player does. Romo didn't take a discount, nor should he have. All players must look out for themselves because they are basically being pimped out by billionaires.

Millionaires being pimped out by billionaires. It's modern day slavery, I tell you!

Why not just scoop up Ryan Matthews now for just under $4M/season? Similar injury history to Murray, same number of thousand yard seasons, and doesn't preclude you from taking a RB high in the draft if one falls to you.

I wish Schefter would just stop at this point. Until he actually signs he keeps repeating the same thing.

The way I see him working his phones I have a hard time doubting him these days. He must have something to be this positive.
