Ryan Williams can handle the bruiser role?
The guy who hasn't been able to stay on the field in Arizona?
What have you seen that makes you confident can do this?

Just his college resume, and the fact that he will be part of a committee and not called upon to be 'the guy'.

With a bit of hope and wishful thinking added for flavor!

Don't have a problem with letting Murray walk. I just hope the front office doesn't cave in and stand strong on this. Murray gave us a great year and as a Cowboys fan I appreciate that. But I don't think we should break the bank over a glorified year of production (contract year at that) when in years past we wasn't able to count on him for the entire season.

If Murray wanna act like a jilted ex and flirt & sign with our rivals then so be it. I have faith in this Dallas defense to shut him down and cough the ball up like the rest of the good to elite defenses we played last year.

I contemplated mentioning him. I like him as a potential fit for us, too, but the idea that he reportedly turned down $4M in Buffalo to test FA. I like him, but not at $4M+. I do think he'd love to be here, though.

I also just happen to like the way Williams runs, too, though. Give me him and David Johnson in the 3rd or 4th, and I'm ok with that. Though, I'm not one to put a ton of value on the RB position right now, anyway.

Spiller is 28 years old and has had only 1 productive year out of 5. The guy has 12 touchdowns and 13 fumbles for his entire career.....I cant get too excited over him. Especially if he feels he deserved 4+million per year.

So we are refusing to meet the demands of Dez and DeMarco. I get why...but those two guys carry a lot of sway in the locker room. Wonder how the rest of team reacts to this. Anyway, players are avoiding staying in Dallas like Eagles fans avoid soap.

Yes Jerry and Stephen are refusing to meet the demands of Dez and Murray.big mistake in my opinion. but some people have to learn the hard way. THIS IS NOT GOING TO END WELL.

I would only ask that you look at what he accomplished at Clemson and factor in the Buffalo offensive lines and sharing carries with Fred Jackson, hardly an ideal situation.

I think he can be had for a contract in line with Ingram's 4 years $16 million.

I remember hearing the same things about Murray before last season.

Wow so now Murray is being compared to Ryan Williams...hahaha....
Ryan Williams hasn't played since 2012 when he played only 5 games and averaged 2.8 YPC....He was cut from a team with no good running backs because he was beat out by them. Then he couldn't beat out Dunbar or Randle in Dallas and we cut him just to put him on the practice squad.....This is the guy you are comparing to the AP Offensive Player of the Year who ran for 1845 yards last year? Really?

Seriously?

This whole thing feels like either Murray got the number he wanted from Philly or it is a stunt to get Dallas to up their offer. While Murray is on the flight to Philly you can bet Dallas will still be talking to his agent. Even with the media dog and pony show and the Internet sturm and drang, I still think its 50/50 that Dallas matches (or comes close) the Eagles offer.

I don't care what the Dad says or whomever, if the Eagles are at $7-8 million and We are dead set at $6 the choice is money or wanting to be a Cowboy. I personally don't know what he wants but when it might be your last contract I think money would top everything.

He can feel butt hurt all he wants. He should have played through his nagging injuries during his first three years, not just in his contract year when his oline is carrying him to the record books and he wants a big money deal. His troubles stem from the fact that teams know 100% he will never play hurt again and he won't put up near the numbers he did this past year without that oline. The team that gives him more than $5 million a year will begin regretting it somewhere between week 12 this year and week 8 of the following year. I hope its not us doing the regretting.

I would think all parties knew the number before he boarded the plane. Maybe not.
