Scary would be the fallout from allegations about fraud in his foundation, more revelations about his personal life and a possible conviction re child abuse.
Stick a pitchfork in him. I belief he is done.

But i will say this for AP, he half talent and half not killed nobody as opposed to that feller Josh Brent.

AP will be back. Either with Dallas, Oakland or NE.

How did the Hershel Walker trade work out for Minny, they thought he was the missing piece behind their O-line...not so much!!! be careful what you wish for, I have no interest in AP, an aging over priced running back with a lot of miles on those treads.

Murray is a nice back, but he's nowhere near Adrian Peterson. No back is.

It'll be interesting to see if all this blows over. I'm pretty sure Minnesota has no intention of paying him what he's due next year.

Someone has asked....actually MANY have asked lol.

You don't want to give Murray big money because people feel like he'll be finished in a few years but you want to give a 31 year old running back the keys to this organization lol. Unbelievable.

every nfl player in the league is aging.

and who said we're taking on his contract as well?

obviously if he comes here it will be on a hometown discount.

keys to the organization? why are so many of you in this thread exaggerating like this. if he comes here it's going to be for a 3 yr/10 mill deal. he's coming here a humbled person.

So what? That's your experience, not that childs. I'm sorry that it affected you negatively but it doesn't mean that every kid that gets a whoopin will be emotionally deceseased.

And you know this how?

I say keys to the organization as in the offensive line and the running back position have become the focal point of this team. They ARE this team at this point. Not saying that no one else matters but it doesn't work without the two. So to get rid of the best back in the game yardage wise right now for a guy who's going to be 31 and out of football a year? Makes no sense. And what makes no sense is giving him a 3 year deal at 31.

There's no logical explanation for why one would get rid of Demarco for Peterson. There's none. Not from a PR standpoint, not from a youth standpoint, not from a on the field standpoint.....there's nothing.

Knock off the off-topic Brent discussion in this thread, please. Use the Off-Topic Zone thread created for that express purpose, instead. Thanks.

Lynch took that deal as somewhat of an outcast. He wasn't coming off one of the best rushing seasons ever... And he's not happy about his pay as you might have noticed.

Your saying he got that deal when he was traded over from the bills? ?

This is what many people upset with his actions can't admit.

Being upset with his actions clouds any other judgement.

It's actually pretty darn unrealistic to think that Peterson would be averaging much more than 5.2 ypc in 130 carries already this early. I love the o line and what they are doing, but people are way too quick to give ALL of the credit to them. What Murray is doing is certainly no easy feat and who cares about what Peterson could or couldn't do? Let's give the guy that is working his butt for this team now a little credit huh?

387 yards BEFORE contact. There are only 3 players who have more TOTAL rushing yards than that. I'd say we should certainly give the majority of the credit to this OL. I don't think anyone here is giving 100% credit to the OL. I believe we all no he lowers his head, stiff arms and gets a few on his own. He leads in break away plays. He's also a great pass blocker. Murray is a really solid complete back. However, I wouldn't break the bank on him by any means. Nor would I break the bank on AP. AP is banged up and on the end of his ride. If he came cheap I'd take him but, there are several other free agents next year available to fill the hole if Murray decides that money is more important than building a winning team. I'm much more concerned about locking in Dez. You don't want to lose your best TD machine.
