Corso this is Kirk, I'm down on a planet seeking out new life forms. I just finished this bottle of Captain Morgan's Rum and I am ready to go where no man has ever gone. I know what the Cowboys need to do, trade this years 1st and 3rd picks to move up to get Gurley, trade next years # 2 to the Vikes for Peterson, and use this years # 2 for Coleman and then we have a whole stable of running backs. This vision just came to me as the last drop of Captain Morgan's Rum came out of the bottle. Well their was that vision of Katie Morgan but that's another story. KIRK OUT

Katie Morgan = I'm not a fan

Lol

She's illogical to me

Alright I will have some fun creating a scenario where we will trade for Peterson.

Dallas drafts the CB in the first round that they feel will start the season....this allows them to cut Carr and save the 8 million salary.
They then decide that 30 year old Peterson is better than whatever committee back is left and they trade either a 2nd or 3rd round to Minn on draft day.

Ok now back to reality....

If I am a Vikings fan I don't want Peterson back. I love when a player wants to play for the Cowboys. I loved how much Murray wanted to stay and I love that Peterson wants to play here. If a player didn't want to play for us I would want them gone. There is a big difference between Dez wanting a long term deal to stay and Peterson wanting out of Minnesota.

I'm sorry I don't fircken agree with everything that you put down. You want to insult be my guest.

I've mentioned it to you numerous times before, it's insulting to those you're conversing with, whether that's intentional or not.

Murray was a 3rd rd. We don't know how the draft will play out for the Cowboys and whom or where we may draft a RB. I think the FO is doing a good job and part of doing a good job in my view is not giving up top picks for a 30 year old RB. I think Dallas has done a great job of using their draft picks wisely and getting the mid level FA, the results have been great now is not the time to go out and give up picks for an older player who will still want a hefty pay check. If Dallas was unwilling to give Murray 7 to 8 mill why would they want to turn around and give it to a 30 year old RB?

Fair Enough. But, they open themselves to a lot of criticism if they slip back to 8-8 this year. Letting your stud RB go, after going so many years losing, then finally winning with that Stud RB.

And replacing the RB with a rookie.... At a time when we should be pushing for a Super Bowl.

Worst case scenario, we miss our shot now, Romo is done in 3 years, and we miss our shot then.

All these moves while great, and salary cap friendly, etc etc, dont mean squat if we cant push into the Super Bowl....or at least get close. I think if you get close, you are doing well in this day and age. Bounce here or there, and the Packers wouldve been SB champs...

193 pages, with Mr. 200 looming right around the corner.

It's safe to say this thread will be well-remembered in CowboysZone lore should Peterson end up in Dallas, perhaps rivaling or exceeding the Herschel Walker saga from decades ago. But will it be okay if we reminisce about the thread, while watching him play for Minnesota or another team outside of Dallas, should that alternate outcome eventually happen? Just inquiring to discover which discussion topics are not overly sensitive allowable ahead of time.

No it is not, according to people here AP is still a stud best RB in the NFL and those who want him so bad just think Miss has no choice in the matter and will just get rid of him for little to nothing. This does not even include what AP will want in terms of contract where ever he ends up.
Not just the opinion of people here; ex players, current players, coaches, and media. AD is the best RB in the NFL bar none. I don't care what team he plays for.
