This is what I think will happen if anything happens with us and Peterson. It will involve next year's draft. Peterson obviously doesn't want to play in Minny anymore and once we get into the summer and training camp starts and he either isn't there or isn't enthusiastic about being there the Vikings will be looking for trade partners.

I'd try next years 2nd rounder. But at this junction I'm thinking next years 1st might be worth it to get him here.

I wish I could say you were wrong but I suspect you are right. I still don't think we have any interest in signing him. Even if released we aren't going to pay him what he wants to play.
