Not unless your Adrian Peterson. AD is no ordinary back. If he runs behind this oline other teams will have a nightmare containing him.

But for how long? For me at least, this conversation has very little to do with reality and more about people be enamored by a name.

How can a 30 year old back be worth a 1st rounder that could contribute for 5 years. Makes zero sense to me.

because jamarcus russel went first over all and he contributed so much, he played 3 seasons and went 7-18 and went first overall...just because you have a first round pick doesn't mean you automatically get gold like others have said.

I never was enamoured by AD. Only until now since we didn't find a replacement for Murray. We only have 3 years left before Romo hangs it up for good. I would say that if AD can still run the ball like he did in 2013 or close to it, then why not.

So if we don't get ap we have no chance at a superbowl this year. Thats what im gathering. Lets forfeit the season and hope for next year guys! :(

Do get me wrong I want ap but its just crazy in here and the udfa thread too.

1 of 8 teams will most likely win the sb next year and dallas Is one of them.

I'm in the same boat myself. Wasn't for it until I saw us completely ignore it these last 3 days and then botch even signing a UDFA that went elsewhere.

A RB isn't going to make or break a SB run. 1800 yards wasn't enough to get there. And how many Super Bowls has AD played in again? Good lord the hyperbole in here is ridiculous.

RB may not get us a Superbowl but it got us into the playoffs last year. Without a running game that demands respect our offense will become one dimensional and will be lucky to make it to the playoffs.

Would have liked to see the Cowboys do something at RB during the draft but I still see no way AP comes here. Still would not give up a draft pick in the first two or three rounds next year and there is no one on the roster that I would be willing to part with that they would want. No way they want Carr's contract. Mo is injured and sucks anyway. No way I give up our best corner in O-Scan. No way I give up Dez. Nothing else to give.

cowboys are super bowl favorites for the next two years WITH AP. we need to find a way to get this done.

Doesn't matter because as others pointed out he's like old and obviously has nothing left in the tank.

Plus, we're stacked with Run DMC, Randle, Williams and Dunbar.

All kidding aside it makes absolutely no sense that we ignored what helped get us there outside of putting our faith in McFadden.

I still dont know what they are thinking. ??

Okay, I get it, draft picks, money, 30 year old RB. I at least understand that argument, although I wouldve made a real effort to get AP.

But to not even address it in the draft? No gurley, gordon or duke, yeldon, etc etc to look forward too?

We are really going with Randle, Williams and DMC?

Why?

For what it is worth, and it isn't worth much, I have a friend who apparently is friends with a couple of people at Valley Ranch and he insists that he knows something that tells him for sure that AP will be here. He won't tell me what he knows and I think his friends are probably blowing smoke but he absolutely insists that some kind of deal is imminent.

I don't see it happening. I worry about going into the season with Randle, McFadden and Williams as our RB corp but I just see no way it happens. I've always said that AP would be great here but I have always said that I would not give a ton for him. If they somehow pull it off for a bargain deal, I would be happy.
