For what it is worth, and it isn't worth much, I have a friend who apparently is friends with a couple of people at Valley Ranch and he insists that he knows something that tells him for sure that AP will be here. He won't tell me what he knows and I think his friends are probably blowing smoke but he absolutely insists that some kind of deal is imminent.

I don't see it happening. I worry about going into the season with Randle, McFadden and Williams as our RB corp but I just see no way it happens. I've always said that AP would be great here but I have always said that I would not give a ton for him. If they somehow pull it off for a bargain deal, I would be happy.

At this point, what other explanation makes sense? To not even draft , not one single RB?

And, it doesn't have to even be AP. Maybe someone else is on the trade block? I would love to see AP, and think we powerhouse are way into the Super Bowl with him on the team.

But at this point,,,, I am desperate for anybody....

It just doesn't add up. Why? Why would you go into a season with basically, DMC and randle on the roster? Why would you do that?

I still dont know what they are thinking. ??

Okay, I get it, draft picks, money, 30 year old RB. I at least understand that argument, although I wouldve made a real effort to get AP.

But to not even address it in the draft? No gurley, gordon or duke, yeldon, etc etc to look forward too?

We are really going with Randle, Williams and DMC?

Why?

A 2nd round pick next year and AD is in the house.

I heard that the Vikings were going to trade AP to the Cowboys if Jerry goes on national television and admits that it was a push off in 1975.

True.
There is a master plan that we are not privy to. It could be AD in Dallas.

Everyone is saying that AD will be in Minnesota this season.

Well we know AD doesn't want that. And Minny doesn't really want that.

And all our main competitors for AD's services drafted an RB. We are the only team reportedly interested in AD who didn't draft an RB. Hmm.

If you're Minnesota, would you rather have a disgruntled 30 year old player with an albatross contract or a 2nd rounder next season?

If you're Dallas, would you rather have AD or a bunch of scrubs and next year's very low 2nd rounder?

AD to Dallas makes sense for Minny, for Dallas and for AD.

Peterson does not want to play in MINN

MINN does not want to keep Peterson. If they did, they would have guaranteed some of his remaining contract like BUFF did with McCoy.

The last thing MINN wants with a young QB, team and new stadium is a disgruntled star.

They tried to get a pick for him but the market isn't there for a 13m RB.

They will release him sometime before OTAs and camp.

Dallas will swoop in and offer 6-8m a year and then Championship.

Gurley and Gordon were gone long before Dallas picked. There isn't much they could have done with respect to those two backs.

Get Peterson and he will carry the Cowboys to Superbowl. The one time he had a legitimate QB in Favre he almost carried a mediocre Vikings team to Superbowl if it wasn't for Bountygate. This is a no brainer for Cowboys. Find a way to make him a Cowboys and watch Romo, Dez and Peterson in Superbowl 50 in San Francisco. Easy decision if you ask me.

The only thing is, Minnesota didn't draft a RB either.
