I realize players don't begin to receive checks until week 1 of the season but if Adrian holds out and misses games, do Vikings have to give him a game check?

Just to recap

Is things accurate?

- if adrian is still on Vikings roster by certain date then they owe him $13-15 mil?
- if that date comes and goes and they don't pay that money, then he is released and he can run to Jerry?
- if they pay that huge sum of money on a guy that wants out does it make sense? Can they trade at any point and to who's advantage?

If Dez scores I don't have much faith that we stop Green Bay from scoring again. 28 sacks is not good enough.

You think we are a RB away. I'm grateful we signed Hardy and drafted Gregory instead.

Whether you think I know what I'm taking about or not, my opinions are in alignment with what we are actually doing. So you can claim to be right about AP all you want but there is almost zero chance you get to be right with him in a Cowboys uniform.

100% wrong. I did not think we were only a RB away before FA/the draft. I think we are a RB away right now. I never said, just add AP and don't improve any of the team. That wouldn't make any sense at all. After we added Hardy, got Lee back, and now have a healthy Demarcus Lawrence.. I felt we were very close and with the addition of some players in the draft we were right there. Now, we just completely ignored the running game in the whole draft. How in the hell does that make sense?

That isn't the scenario I would expect to happen. He will report but that doesn't mean he will be healthy enough to play. The Vikings should be very afraid of playing this game with him if there is any animosity between the two parties.

Agreed. AP could give 50% out there if he wanted to and there wouldn't be anything they could do about it.

IIRC, RED:

If a veteran player is on the roster for week #1 their contract for the season guaranteed (though maybe only against the salary cap). I think that's why teams cut players before week #1 and bring them in week #2 (assuming they pass waivers, of course). I could be wrong. If I am, someone please correct me.

As far as a trade goes, I think they have until week 6 to work out a trade (this is also how we worked out a trade for Roy Williams after Detroit told the entire planet that WiIlliams would not be traded, either. Hos, rode that horse until the end and he was right).

Jerry and Co must think it is 2008 again and they just got Mcfadden out of the draft. They must have missed the last 7 years in which he only played one full year
as a starter and had the lowest YPA in the entire league. Mcfadden is a proven bust.

Totally agree. We just need a runningback. We are right there right now. The defense is set and Marinelli can handle the rest. I'm not comfortable with what we have. McFadden isn't going to cut it. Williams is a longshot and hasn't played since 2011. Randle and Dunbar are not workhorses.

I was never on the bandwagon with Adrian Peterson. Now I am. I would dangle a 2nd round pick to Minnesota to see if they bite.

They're going to be paying for a player 13 million dollars that doesn't want to be there. He hates management of that team. He also wants to play for the Cowboys. It just makes sense right now for both teams and Adrian.

If can't get to 4.0 ypc here, then ok. Not like he is gonna get all the carries with Randle and maybe RWilliams.

We signed 3 RB's so it's hard to say that we completely ignored the position. We didn't sign a pro bowler but do we need a pro bowler at every position in order to win?

Once the mandatory season starts, he is fined for every day of the holdout.

If he wants to make waves he just has to use the bully pulpit in the lockerroom and refuse to cooperate with the coaches and marketing types doing only the bare minimum so as to avoid getting a fine. That is what Percy Harvin did and he got traded. No way they pay him $13m if he isn't going to buy in. Zimmer I am sure will try to sell him on staying and we will see what happens. Zimmer is a good coach.
