What would be sarcastic about that post?

And understand the context here, we were discussing giving up LATE round picks for Stacy. Not premium picks, not from rounds 1 to 3. Seeing who we took in those rounds, yeah, I'd give up one of those picks for Stacy; a young bruising back. I also wanted to take Stacy as a backup, not a full-time starter.

That any fool would think Stacy would be a good pick up because simply because he's young. Stacy is a mediocre TB. Shoot, Darren McFadden is a better TB than Stacy.

Stacy has 12 carries against us not 19. Only 3 more than Cunningham. By the end of the year Mason had basically taken all Stacy's carries.

My bad, he had 19 against TB. And he averaged 5.6 yards a carry against us.

Stacy was rushing behind a line ranked 28th in run blocking. How anyone can judge RBs behind a line like that is unbelievable.

Actually, I said Gurley would slip and that the most likely team to grab an RB first would be the Chargers. Get it right.

And I'm absolutely happy that Gurley went early and we never had the chance to take him. The Rams continue to show why they are mediocre every year.

Oh, I got it right.

And you got it undeniably wrong.

Own it.

Pretty simple.

He's a mediocre TB. He was average in 2013 and he was beyond average in 2014 when he couldn't even lock down a starting TB job on a bad team. He was so mediocre he had 15 carries over his last 8 games, including 4 games where he got zero carries.

Yeah, he's a real diamond in the rough hindered by a bad OL.

They ALL looked terrible behind the offensive line. Mason had TWO impressive games, and was mediocre outside of that. The Rams had one of the worst run blocking lines in the NFL last year.
Mason didn't look terrible. What looks terrible is that team gets to face 3 very good run defenses 6 times a year.

When Stacy had a decent OL blocking for him, he rushed for nearly 1,000 yards. Yes, I would give up a late round pick for that. Seeing as how he was traded for a seventh round pick, I would have done it in a heartbeat.

And whether Mason looked terrible or not is really besides the point. The fact is, Mason did enough to warrant getting the bulk of the carries. If Stacy is this good TB, how couldn't he lock down a starting or co-starting gig? If Stacy was so good, even if hindered by a bad OL, how in the world does he get 15 carries over the last 8 games while Mason gets over 100?

Exactly my points Syd.

LOL. He averaged 3.9 yards per carry that year he almost ran for 1000 yards.

That's the very definition of mediocre. If one of our TBs averaged 3.9 yards per carry, I have little doubt you'd probably kill him for it.

Tre Mason had 2 good games last year, one against Seattle and the other against Denver. In the Denver game, he rushed 29 times and got 113 yards with an average of 3.9 yards a carry. His Oakland game, 90 of his yards came on a single run and he ended the game with 117 yards rushing. He had ONE game where he rushed above 5 yards a carry, he had seven games where he rushed below 4.

Stacy didn't have the benefit of having a great QB throwing that season. He had Clemens. There were games where Stacy was putting the team on his back. He rushed for 134 yards against the Seattle Seahawks, 137 against the Titans, 133 against New Orleans, and over 100 against the Bucs. He had two games that helped bring his average down, one of them came against the Seahawks in the final game of the season; and we all know how that defense looked.
