Now this post sounds so much closer to where many of us have been sitting for quite a long time.

I don't think our positions are as far apart as we may sometimes think.

No one would complain if AP is released and plays for what we offered Murray (4-5 million a year). Giving up picks and paying north of 10 million a year is what I have zero interest in.

I don't think anyone has ever advocated paying him $10 million, much less what he's currently scheduled to make.

Can you tell me how many times AD had this type of offensive line, this type of qb and this type of receiving options that didn't let everyone gameplan for just him?

Don't be daft.

Emmitt Smith had this kind of line and carried us to 3 super bowls and yet never ever ran for as many yards as Murray did last year. I don't think you are appreciating how rare it is to run for as many yards as Murray did. It's quite realistic that AP could have a fantastic year running for 1500 yards.

Jerry and Stephen didn't do anything to quiet the conversation after the draft. Basically once Gordon and Gurley were off the board AP remained an option. Also the Carr contract talk and comments add more smoke. Not saying it's going to happen, but I don't think anyone can say it's definitely not happening yet. I think there is about 8 mil in cap space available for a RB to stay within typical position allotment.

I don't understand your point? Adrian Peterson is better than Murray. Murray needed a historic workload to hit his 1800 yards.

Let me put it this way if Murray and Peterson both got 300 carries behind this line next season.... I think our results would be vastly improved with Peterson toting the rock than Murray.

If Peterson got 392 carries last year behind this line I believe he would have done better than the 1800 yards Murray achieved.

I'd that simple enough for you to understand?

Dogra: "I actually, as an agent, not only appreciate it — I accept it. But actions speak louder than words. If that's going to happen, and you want to keep him, then show him a commitment to make him retire as a Viking. And I haven't had that solution."

AP will play for Minny.

Will Minny pay him? I am guessing Minny will pay him more then anybody else?

Or is camp AP, making an outrageous demand in money, in order to push Minny into releasing him?

I don't like that change in their position. AP will actually play for Minny......if the price is right...
maybe he isnt that disgruntled? -- i don't know, but I don't like it.

What's that song Santa Claus is coming to town, that's just change the name = Adrian Peterson is coming to town. Which means Christmas is coming early this year to Dallas.
