I'd rather draft a young guy at a fraction of the price. The o-line will take care of Gurley or Gordon.

The team is already getting hammered for signing Hardy. It would be considerably worse if they get AP as well.

No one is saying that still can not happen.

Again, no way Peterson settles for 5-6 mil per year. Dallas isn't paying him more than what they offered Murray.

I think Dallas will go up to between 7-8 million for AP, just my opinion though. This is still in the pipe-dream process

They didn't want to pay Murray (over 6 mil). No way they pay more for a 30 year old rb.

I'd rather just draft a RB. The only scenario that I could see Dallas signing him would be if he was released by the Vikings and signed a team friendly, reasonable contract. I doubt that happens.

There is nothing that supports that statement IMO..and there has been several reports there is mutual interest with AP and Dallas??

It has been reported that Dallas offered Murray around 6 mil a year. And wouldn't go over that. So why would they do it for a 30 year old rb when the draft is loaded with backs?

I agree with you. Not about Hardy part though, we can weather that crap.
Not if sponsers start walking. After the tumult of last year, having both Hardy and Peterson in Dallas may be too much for sponsers. Especially is pressure groups start putting the screws to the team.

Most will poo-poo what I am saying. I think it's a real possibility. Peterson is very good, but we don't need him to win.

Cap flex to sign AP who most likely will want 9-10 mil a year? No way he settles for 5-6 mil. Which is the limit for Dallas.

Keep telling yourself whatever you want in order to believe that it won't happen, you obviously don't want him here and will tell yourself whatever it takes for that to be the case. I don't blame anyone if they don't want him here, that's fine. It's when people say 'the Cowboys can't" or "there's no way" that it sounds ridiculous.

Each report like this one increases the chances that it could happen.

And Hardy wanted 13-15. He got it, and it cost us under 4 million. It's a new way of being paid and bringing in big time players. The NFL will make a Stephen Jones rule in the next couple of years, but we will continue to be creative until they do.

Chasing Peterson really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It would be no different than when Chip got rid of Shady because he didn't want to pay RB's big money, then turning around and signing Murray.

Jerry may want it, but Stephen seems to be running the show now. And he has much more common sense than his father.

Well, this is not the STL Rams........we are the Dallas Cowboys and I don't think that sponsors would disassociate themselves from that kind of publicity.

I do agree that we don't need him to win and one of those rookies would be enough to suffice.
