After Jerry's rant how can you do anything but root against this team

I am not rooting against them. I was a Cowboys fan before Jerry Jones bought the team, and I will be a Cowboys fan if he sells the team. But I am not disappointed when they lose anymore either. I expect it. It is cathartic. This team needs to be humbled in a big way. And perhaps a couple of drafts with us picking in the top 10 will get us the players we need to do something more than lose in round one of the playoffs.

Why in the world would a Cowboy fan root against the Cowboys? Sounds like a pretty crappy fan to me

Almost 3 decades of futility and chaos is VERY testing of near lifelong loyalty, at least for me at this point. I am sure it is for others as well. Have to admit. Living in the DelMarVA area it's hard to not start dipping my toes into Ravens waters. At some point you gotta admit that the ship you are on is beyond saving, going to the bottom. LOL!
Fandom is tricky and often one-sided. But, there is one commandment ownership of a team must follow: Their overriding intent must be fielding a championship team.

Intent is the operative word there. Even inept ownership can be saved if their heart is in the right place. Their faith is counted as righteousness.

But Jerry’s heart is not in the place.

This season has been a nothing more than a flex from him. From the disastrous off-season to landing on the practice field to the radio interview, it’s all been a display of power. He wants you to know he’s in charge. He’ll destroy the whole thing just to drive the point home. He no longer cares about winning. It’s about feeding his delusions.

He broke the one commandment. He’s beyond salvation. He’s not worth your devotion.

If you root against a team, you're not a fan?
That’s true. You don’t root against the team , your just not happy with it ,if you’re route root against the team, why are you here? Criticism, nothing wrong with it. Outright don’t like it , go find another.

All franchises go through this, admit it it’s rebuilding. Prescott does not have a no trade clause.

He does have one that's what was told to me on here, so once again he'd have to ok the trade, hopefully he hears the fans and says you know what i'll go where they appreciate me at!! lol

I'd never root against them like this. They're my team.

But in that last game I enjoyed what the opponent was doing and hoped they keep going. For the first time ever. Not because I wanted us to lose. But once it was clear they would, I wanted it to be wholesome. So that the whole team would think hard about it for the next two weeks. San Fran next, whew. Let's see how Mr. runner up MVP solves that.

We all know Jerry is a narcissist. He is also a dispicable human based off the lawsuits he’s involved with regarding his affairs. And he’s the man who signed Greg Hardy.

Now he wants to bully radio hosts who question the moves he DOESNT make (because he’s not the day to day GM anymore which is never brought up).

the only way out of this hole is for the organization to bottom out ala 2000-02 and force them to make real changes in order to be relevant again.
I am 100% all in on this team losing every game from here on out until real change is made. Long term, getting humbled in a big way this year is the best thing for this franchise.

Jerry needs to be punished for the horrible job he is doing. It needs to become so ridiculously obvious that the team he built absolutely sucks that even he might be able to admit that there needs to be change.

What I am is a fan, not a fake fan who roots against his team
What if losing is truly what is best for the team long term in order to potentially get the GM to fire himself?

I hate that it has come to this, but I didn’t make that choice. The front office did.

Sometimes everything needs to fall apart in order to rebuild something that is fundamentally broken. Trying to hold up this house of cards is counter productive.

Fine if you want to root against your team. I am simply not wired that way. This team could be 0-16 and have a shot at the #1 overall pick and I would still root for them to win that last game even if it meant picking #2. That's just my make up and it's not really subject to change at age 64.
