**** it why not?

I have no idea who is going to win because its going to be 2 good teams playing.

If we play our best game and so do they than I like the Cowboys.

The more they throw the more it plays into our hands.

Poster appears to conviently forgeting our defense and pts allowed. Our defense is playing very good football right now. If they can keep doing what they are doing and our offense moves the ball, I love our chances and will easily pick the Cowboys to win over the Saints.

and they're not fool proof.

By your very reasoning the Saints should not be 11-0.

It's amazing how ordinary the Pats look when the HC doesn't know the defense being called. There is no doubt in my mind that the Patriots won those Superbowls by cheating. I'm not a hater, but it still irks me that Billicheat's team was punished more harshly.

Again, good for you guys. I wish I had this kind of blind, go for broke optimism.

New Orleans is just so much better than us. How can you possibly say that we could beat them if both teams play their best.

And how can both teams play their best? If one team plays great, that means the other team isnt doing that well.

Dude I know you're a A&M fan and its easy to develop this loser mentality that you have but Dallas can beat them.

The Saints aren't above and beyond everyone in the NFL but you just handed them the Lombardi tonight.

If our Offense gets rolling, which is very very possible, than the Saints dont wanna see us. They got weapons.. Well guess what? So do we.

And dont look now but we have a receiver that is playing at a superstar level and is getting better by the week.

Their front 7 isn't that good anymore. Thats the biggest difference.

And being so arrogant to think you can just keep getting lucky to replace guys like Asante Samuel is eventually going to catch up with you.

Belichik is a heck of a coach but he has let a lot of talent walk.

Yet they took an as-yet undefeated Indy team to the wire, actually leading in the final couple minutes... and were summarily smoked tonight in N.O.

Our defense is good. Our defense is NOT dominant. They don't force a lot of turnovers and don't get an abnormal number of sacks. That's what seperates us from an elite defense.

Our defense isnt good enough for us to rely on it solely to beat good teams.

I think our defense won't get steamrolled by them like they have done to some other teams this year:

48-22 Philly
48-27 NYG
38-17 Pats
46-34 Miami
35-27 Atlanta
30-20 Carolina

I think we have a good enough secondary and run defense to stay with their WRs and stay stout against their running game simultaneously. The key will be if we can get an inspired passrush against them to knock Brees out of a comfortable groove.

Offensively, I am not confident we will do all that much against them. Greg Williams is a very good DC and he has run up against Romo many times and has done a good job against us with similar defensive talent in Washington.

I think the ultimate key in this game for us is we need to feed Felix and Choice the ball a ton - like 30-40 carries between the two of them for 150-200 yards. We have to feed off of that to get our vertical passing game going and Romo needs to be careful when he goes deep with Sharper playing center field.

The second key offensively is we need to protect Romo against the blitz. Houck and the OL better have been burning the midnight oil trying to work on blitz protection for inside LB blitzes (should be running pitches out wide to Felix - that'll make them back off in a hurry) and CB blitzes out of the slot. The RBs have actually been doing a good job in pickups - it is the OL that are failing here. We'll also need Flo/Free on top of their games to deal with Will Smith and Charles Grant - the DEs were harassing Brady all-night.

On the plus side, compared to NE we have a much more mobile QB and a better TE and a potentially much more potent ground attack.

I think we'll get a feel for whether we are contenders in the NFC or just also-rans after the SD/NO games. We'll also see if we have the talent at OC to make a gameplan to exploit another team's weaknesses in big games.

I honestly think we are still a year away from contending and need to shore up a couple of spots with good FA signings and jettison some more riff-raff.

The game will most likely be extremely underwhelming. The Saints will most likely have locked up their playoff preference and will be resting up for the playoffs. The mystique of going 16-0 wore off when the Pats did it. Look what they had to show for it that year. That luster is well worn. The Saints may be in rest p mode by the time we play them. Book it.

Indy walked up and down the field on them.

The Patriots have a good team. Dont get me wrong.

But they aren't nearly as talented as they have been.

With that said they still got just as good of as chance as winning the Superbowl as anyone because in this league you dont have to have a perfect team to win it all.

Just good QB play will get you a loooong ways.

New Orleans and Indy are great teams but there haven't been any lombardis passed out tonight and there is to many examples of past season where the media and fans already had the future scripted and the script got flipped.

You're right. However, we've seen nothing thus far to suggest we will alter past trends. If we beat New York, then we'll have good reason to think this year might be different. Until then, I'm on a "show me" basis with this team.

So you're saying that if they're 13-0 with home field wrapped they won't start dialing it down?

Actually a pretty good point.

They should have the division clinched by then, but may still be duking it out for homefield with Minny.

not necessarily true. Minny has only lost 1 game this year and the Saints will need to win out to stay a game ahead of them for home field.

But w/ this argument, why play the game then? You are basically saying that this team will never be better ever.

Did I read that wrong? That is a losers approach. He is right about that.

Also - how can they show you that they are better and we haven't even played a game in December yet. That is the time the team has let down and lost. They kinda need to get to play at least 1 game in Dec, right?
