Ahmad Dixon Cut

He needs to brush up on his coverage skills. In today's NFL, it doesn't matter how hard you hit. If you can't cover, you can't play. And hard hits are, more times than not, going to draw a flag.

I would like to see him on the PS. I think his best chance at a roster spot might be a hybrid LB/S and special teams ace.

He needs some development. I honestly think he can be a Chancellor type of guy of we get a good FS next to him, though.

Hope he passes waivers.
On the other hand, a headhunter on the practice squad can be risky for your starters:eek:

I think he will. Not nearly ready to do more than special teams right now. And he showed a very reckless streak after a great debut.

This team continues to prove they have no idea what it is doing. Burning draft choices ain't no thing:)

I keep reading how the Cowboys hope that this guy and others would turn into special team studs when they drafted them. Probably one of the reasons there is NO depth on this roster. Wasting valuable draft picks on special team fodder, instead of trying to find legitimate starters, or guys who can develop into good players. Something that has gone on since Jimmy left, then again after BP left.

Agreed. The thing that disappointed me most on the play that he ended up getting fined for was that he made no attempt on the ball at all. Just went for the kill shot. That's not to say that he could have made an interception but the lack of focus on the most important aspect of the game (the football) is a sign of immaturity in the pro game. That's one thing that I'll give Garrett is that he preaches football (literally, the ball) awareness.

He has a great game for a player playing before 1996.........but now that you can't touch offensive players anymore, his violent style is not a positive thing. When I see Dixon, I see yellow, as in yellow flags and 15 yard penalties.

I don't care for this move at all. I have seen very little positive play from Jeff Heath. He's terrible in coverage and takes horrible angles. At least Dixon can be a box guy, not sure what Heath can do. This is a poor decision IMHO.

except for the fact that Kam is the size of a linebacker right?

Yea dude is a friggin monster. He's not perfect though, he has his limitations but he is really really good at what they ask him to do.
