Got this off of the Ranch Report.

Troy was on 610 WIP's morning show - he said some interesting things:

He has better relationship with the Eagles organization than he does with the Cowboys organization.

He said Eagles fans are more passionate than Cowboys fans.

He we asked if he rooted for the Cowboys; he said he would like to see them do well - but then praised the Eagles players / team

Overall he respects the Eagles players/fans/organization more than the Cowboys.

I don't have any problems with him of being a non-homer(actually, I prefer it). However-going as far as having TIES with the Eagles organization?:bang2:

Why is he bagging on cowboys fans.

I really dont understand troy. He basically insulted cowboys fans in the preseason gameday program. They only had one program this year for the preseason. It was a double size farewell to Texas stadium with interviews of of former players.

IN it Troy said cowboys fans are not loud except in the playoffs where the place can be rocking.

I dont understand why he has to be such a jerk towards the fans. If he doesnt like jerry that is fine. Why constantly bash the fans.

I am really dissapointed in him. It seems he goes out of his way to do this stuff alot. I take it personal when he says eagles fans are more passionate. All of those assumptions are built on steretypes.

and of all people troy should know not to believe in stereotypes.

It is really dissapointing to hear him say this stuff.

Troy has become a Hollywood phoney: he plays to the fans. When he's on WFAN in NY he won't shutup about Tom Coughlin and Jimmy Johnson comparisons and how TC runs a team that'd he'd want to play for.

if by more passionate, he means criminalistic......then yes, the Eagles fans are far more passionate than Cowboys fans.

I am glad Cowboys fans dont act like Eagles, Giants, and Raiders fans. I would however, like to see us act more like Chiefs fans......Loud and Rowdy without being criminal and thuggish.

Yeah seriously... if throwing batteries, booing injured players, and having a courtroom inside the stadium makes you "more passionate" then I'd just stick with being less passionate, fine by me.

I'd like to hear the actual interview before jumping to conclusions on Troy.

Sounds to me like a Troy hater listened to what Troy had to say and took some liberties when summing up the interview.

That's why Emmitt and Michael were always my favorites.

Yeah, mine too, but have to throw Big E and Haley into the mix also..

Well I only named my favorites on offense... On defense, Woodson, K. Smith and Haley were my favorites.

Eagles fans are way better than Cowboy fans. Just look at the recent TO thread. When he was an Eagle they loved him because he played football like a beast. Cowboy fans still hate him because of something he did back in 2000. It's quite simple and im glad Troy is telling the truth. Hurts dont it? And if you ever wonder why TO always talks about how he loves Philly fans it doesn't shock me either. They stuck by his side when he was performing. Cowboy fans are divided on a player that is a huge part of a championship run. You do the math.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

You people are hilarious. Most Cowboys fans complain about weak Texas Stadium is. Whenever teams like Green Bay or Pittsburgh come thru, you cant tell who's the home team. We have the most conservative crowd in the NFC East. I look at crowds like Green Bay and Indy and wonder what's the deal with ours. It seems our best fans are at road games.

This has nothing to do with T.O.-it has to do with the behavior and character of one fan base -vs- another. Which is like comparing apples & oranges.

That is simply not true. I dont want to have this discussion though, especially when 99% of the time it is with people who have been to the stadium once or never at all.

For the record-if you take out those 2 miracle road wins against bottom-feeders Buffalo and Detroit, our TX Stadium record from '06 would actually be BETTER than our road record.

So all this "We play much better on the road" is a bunch of balony.
