You may be right, these days it does seem to be all about looks with little room for substance. As soon as some new hottie comes along, dump the wifey and grab the new toy; of course, if a hot new stud shows up she may toss you for him.

If it was all about looks it was too shallow of a relationship to begin with. My wife has gained more than she has and I'm no longer 42 shoulders and a 32 waist either. We still love each other anyway.

I'm sure they have their reasons just as I'm sure those reasons are none of my business. I wish them both well.

This should give the rumor mongers plenty to keep them busy during the lockout.

I feel sorry for the superficial replies in this thread. I also feel sorry for the whole family. Divorce hurts; there was probably a lot of hurting going on already, but divorce hurts. Sad situation. And sad that people think that rich people have easier lives.

People make light of situations because sometimes it's easier to make a joke than chime in with "Wow, how awful!" for the 40th time or try and make sense of something that we clearly have no inkling about with regards to the underlying reasons.

There's nothing wrong with finding humor in difficult situations. Nobody really thinks that Troy dumped his wife because she got fat or thinks that it must be easier for them because they have money.
