I doubt he goes anywhere to play DE.

He says in that interview that playing DE kicked his butt last season.

Talks about how moving to OLB added a few seasons to his career.

With all of these teams moving to the 34 I could see him getting a job as the 3rd pass rusher. Maybe the Dolphins take a look now that Ellis knows he's going somewhere for the vet minimum.
