Alfred Morris might be biggest steal of the offseason

Elliott will get 20 touches a game but it will be nice to have Morris to help wear down defenses too. I can see opposing defenses getting worn down and gashed late in games.

We've certainly had enough threads about it to wear down this forum. Past ready for the actual season.

I'm really believing this offense will be a juggernaut.

If the season started today, Morris is my starter. McFadden occasionally spells him and in on some 3rd downs and work EE in in the most advantageous situations.

Have to play the 4th pick in the draft.

I said the day we signed Morris he'll end up being the best free-agent signing the Cowboys have had in years. I've had numerous debates on this board since the Cowboys signed him with those who weren't thrilled with the signing. If Zeke is everything we think he'll be he and Morris will be the best one-two punch at RB in the NFL. If they stay healthy along with our OL we'll destroy some opponents on the ground this season.

My only worry is giving guys enough carries to get into rhythm.

Backs like Morris are everywhere. That's why he was so cheap. Backs like Zeke arent. That's why he went 4th overall. Our oline makes even mediocre backs look good. Don't overreact bc jags like Morris and Jackson make plays. They should be making plays.

Seeing this post makes me think about McFadden. Is this line really that good? HELL YEAH! Yesterday I saw Collins absolutely abuse a DT, and on the same play, I saw Fredrick push two people out of the way, same play, I saw Martin move his guy out of the way. This offensive line is down right abusive in a good way.

Any running back in the world would salivate over playing behind this line right now. I may be changing my mind on Jerry Jones, he built a wall.

Our OL is great but what I'm seeing Morris do is breaking tackles that Randle could not last year. He has very good vision, doesn't go down easily, falls forward and gets extra yards. He is going get us the dirty yards.

The only two getting carries will be Zeke and Morris. I am going to dub them Zorris or Zorro

Whoever else that makes the roster will come in for a few plays but they should account for less than 20% of the snaps.

If Zeke is everything we think he'll be he'll get the brunt of the carries, the other backs will just have to make the most of their opportunities. Morris will make the most of his he has terrific vision and a nose for the end zone. I love our RB situation just hope everyone can stay healthy.

Moose was saying on the telecast last night that although he's thrilled with Morris, watching Zeke in practice is another level.
He said he has rare, soft hands, like Faulk, and his speed is shocking given that he's 225. He said he immediately takes away defenders angles with that burst.

Anyway, something to look forward to.

He built his second wall...this one may be better than the 90s squad.

Morris is a good back but I bet Jackson can have those same type plays with starting OL. That being said Morris is a much better back then Jackson cause he is a veteran and understands defense schemes better then Jackson.

That's true Morris, McFadden and Jackson could produce on this team. No question in my mind all 3 could be 1,000 yard rushers but that said Zeke is the best back on the team. He is 1500 plus back behind our line with double digit TDs.

Can't wait to see Zeke play next week so we can put this debate to rest. Zeke is special and has superstar potential

Right now, I'm wondering what the Commander fans are going to think when they discover how Alfred Morris is doing with the Cowboys.

I've been thinking some of them might question why they gave up on him to begin with. It might be a bit entertaining to find out -- lol.

I hope Zeke is half as good as we all think he will be. The Giants defensive coach must be sick about this game to start the season in Jerry's World on Sept 11th. I watched the Giants today with the first string Offense playing most of the first half. If you get a chance to watch a repeat on NFLN and take the opportunity to see how their Oline compares to ours.
Next problem is when do we decide that Dak is the future? If so that changes everything for next year.

I wouldn't be surprised if that depends somewhat upon whether or not Romo is injured this year and if so, for how long . . . if it's not at all or not too long, it likely wouldn't happen in 2017. On the other hand, if it's remotely like last year, that might quite possibly spark some serious consideration.

Morris was the most impressive performance last nite IMO. His style appears to match our scheme perfectly. Perhaps the best addition to our roster this year.
