I saw Randle go down many times on first contact. Type of contact Morris is easily breaking this year.

That's not what I saw at all. I saw him often get far more than what was there and fighting but several guys being too much to overcome. He often broke far worse than some of what you talk about with Morris. Of course, he went down on first contact on some plays, but every back does at times. It was not the norm, though, and he was far less likely than McFadden was to go down easily.

Look at that TD against Atlanta again.

Go and watch the whole Atlanta game. Not just the highlights. I remember him going down easy or hesitating when there was a tackler near him. He had many negative runs. I remember mentioning he can be a home run threat but he wasn't going to get us many dirty yards.

He had a monster first half and was swarmed the 2nd half. Not really much going down easy though.

He's surprised me. I'm not going to lie, I'm a McFadden fan. I was pretty happy for him last year but he's not practicing or playing and Morris is taking his job. It's that simple. He's looked really good

The Cowboys have three starting caliber running backs on the squad. My guess is we have three top 15 running backs on our team here.

McFadden was 4th in the league last year despite Joseph Randle being the starter for the first 4 games of the season. Some of this was due to injury, but I think the recent success McFadden had puts him in the argument for a top 15 spot. Maybe that is unfair because a lot of other running backs could have success behind this line, but fact is he did it.

More importantly though is Alfred Morris who is only in his 5th year in the nfl with rushing yard ranks of 21, 11, 4, and 2.

I think we're seeing what Morris can do again with the right pieces around him. I think he is going to have a really stellar year. Right now he is 4th in the league in preseason rushing yards. George Atkinson had 1 run of 53 yards, where the majority of his production comes from. Morris fits our scheme perfectly and really gets those dirty yards. The fact that we don't need him to carry this team says a lot about how good Elliott is. I think unlike Murray though, we're going to be able to keep Elliott fresh, and have some really successful running production in the playoffs. I think that is the biggest argument for keeping McFadden this year.

The fact that we got Morris for so cheap and for two years is such a great deal for us. Very excited about what these running backs can do for us behind this line.
Morris might be THE STEAL but Dak could be too.
If those two pan out, Sir Jones might suddenly become a genius. I could live with that.
Giants, we are coming at you!!!!!!!!!!

As I said go rewatch it and you'll see him going down when hit by the first guy or being hesitant when confronted by a tackler and lose yards. Morris on the other hand will lean forward when being tackled and get positive yards.
