Your gloom and scorn doesn't mean a thing to this fan. Your labels aren't my hang up in the least. You don't agree on a thing....so?

Stick around long enough to get some pull on anything.

Study this for a week or two and get back...

Starters are at T-3 Osa Odighizuwa: T-1 Mazi Smith: DE DeMarcus Lawrence: DE Carl Lawson & DE Marshawn Kneeland...and LB Micah Parsons.

LBS DeMarvion Overshown, Eric Kendricks, and Damone Clark...

and one could as easily discuss the very top shelf of secondary and it's genius coach.

*(There is depth at all positional groups.)
And your "insight" means nothing to this fan. But let's get back to Mazi. Man...he stinks. Study his next few weeks and get back...

Go ahead, just grab the bull by the horns...Sonnie. Just who cares your view? Someone talking crap about a second year player?

Let's hear you talk football insight that isn't bound up in your regulators...and in actual evaluations of the positions...

Mazi isn't YOUR whipping boy and neither am I, Sonnie. He has been given good coverage as have other players on the Cowboys.

You grow up.

All the trouble you just went to with your ranting and pictures and what-not actually suggests you ARE my whipping boy. But you aren't, so have a Pepsi and try not to blow a gasket. Mazi, on the other hand, IS my whipping boy. I just gave you an analysis: he stinks. He gets trucked, and he looks like he's on roller skates more often than not. You're welcome.

this is GOOD for Mazi. While this might show Mazi has much work to do, it should give him the time he needs to get better.
^ This. The young man needs more time to get it together.

We can debate about bad advice last year. Wrong coach. Wrong system, but right now the team has to manage risk. We were run on bad in four critical losses and a bad playoff game.

To put a DL turn around on this young man's shoulders would be bad strategy. He gets time this year, and we can see how he develops while trying to address a defensive weakness from last year.

Who cares exactly?

The latest group is headlined by Marshawn Kneeland, a second-round pick himself, who is being thrust into the limelight as a rookie. Mix that along with that includes defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and defensive end Carl Lawson, both joining the Cowboys in late August via trade and free agency, respectively.

As if you have any evaluation that is more than a crap load. You don't even have a legitimate picture of the players.

Take your trash mouth and stuff it...Mr. No Winners.

Okay...now it really is starting to look like you're my whipping boy. If I had the energy, I'd post a picture of the emperor from ROTJ.."I can feeeeel your anger!"

And back on point, Mazi stinks.

The added defensive linemen. In short, it means they got bigger. Size at the defensive tackle position has been lacking for the Cowboys for several years. Last season, they addressed it by drafting Mazi Smith in the first round.

Smith has yet to produce as a first round pick should, but he has shown development throughout training camp while still recovering from offseason shoulder surgery.

I think all these DL signings are more about our lack of a playmaker at RB and our stalemate with Lamb.
Our defense needs to be very good this year.

So now post count is a barometer of football IQ?? Good to know. But what's your excuse, then?
Also, I've been here well over a decade, which is why I already know about your tendency to rage/cry. So I'm sorry if I once again hurt your feelings, but still...Mazi stinks.

Every team has a negotiating reputation and resume. Cowboys is to wait, and then pay top-of-market at deadline.

Smith played behind another elder statesman, Johnathan Hankins, last season. Hankins was allowed to leave the club and signed with the Seattle Seahawks in free agency.

Zimmer will now be able to deploy a rotation of three functional 320-to-340 pound interior defenders, along with Odighizuwa at 285 pounds as the pass-rush specialist. It gives him numerous intriguing possibilities along with defensive ends DeMarcus Lawrence, Marshawn Kneeland and Chauncey Golston who can rotate inside as well.

Combined with the chess piece of Micah Parsons and what might be the league’s deepest secondary, things could quickly come together.
