We are a paper dragon 8-4.

So the last 2 years when we had major problems with injuries on defense and we went 8-8 those were different wins? You are what your record says you are as BP said and now we are 4 games over .500. I know the Garrett haters and Romo haters aren't happy but that is really too bad.

Receivers have been replaced, kickers, all the offensive linemen, running backs, entire defense, coaches except for Garrett, yet Romo's still here. He couldn't get it done with the previous regime, blame them and send them packing, now he has a new cast and we'll see what he does. Those are the facts, let the excuses continue.

When has the offensive playbook changes?

Tony could solve many problems if he could throw deep without having the ball reach the outer atmosphere. Unfortunately for us, teams have figured this out and there's nothing we can do about it.

I don't get why people keep saying this. Most teams play Dallas cover-2 deep. They specifically defend our vertical routes. They sit on it. If they didn't think Romo couldn't throw deep, they would play that coverage.

And if Romo cannot throw deep than, you have to ask why the routes are still that vertical? Why hasn't the coaching staff adjusted with shorter play designs?

lol at Jason Garrett haters. Does ANYONE actually like that guy? He is a horrible coach that has led this team to 3x 8-8 seasons in a row and has been learning on the job the whole way.

Anyway, your comment about JG and Romo haters doesn't make any sense to me. Do you really believe there are Cowboys fans that WANT to see their favorite team go down in flames? Haha. I think our team is a paper dragon right now but I hope I'm wrong and know with this strong oline and running game we still have a shot as long as the defense and Romo don't screw everything up.

Running the ball is not going to open up the passing game if the defense knows when your going to pass. Teams are now stacking the box and forcing us into third and longs and no matter who the QB is, it's hard to defense. Play action isn't going to work in those situations either, because nobody is going to be fooled when you got 7 or 9 yards to run to move the chains. The likelihood one will get a first down in that situation by running is not very high.

It's not about a run-pass ratio, it's about confusing the defense to create openings to exploit. This is why we still can have a great running game and our offense be low scoring and Tony Romo isn't flinging the ball all over the place. This team is really one-dimensional.

It doesn't blend running and passing well. It's an offense with great talent, with a playbook that stinks.

I swear, this is just like summer. :) Same people coming out and complaining. Sure was real quite when Dallas was 6-1 and you all were on his jock.

You must have me corn-fused with the rest of homerzone...

So we can't beat sub .500 teams with a different bus driver? Get real. Romo has blown 2 games, San Fran and Washington all by himself. If we go 8-8 again there's the other 2 again...

How do you figure he blew the Washington game?

Did u watch the game?

I was going to ask you that. The defense blew that game allowing Colt McCoy to have a career game. The defense missed tackles all night long and couldn't get Washington off the field on 3rd down. In the second half Washington controlled the ball for over 20 minutes. Most of Alfred Morris's rushing yards came in the second half. McCoy finished the game completing 25-30 passes are you going to blame Romo for that? Are you going to blame Romo for the issues the OL had picking up the blitz that got him sacked 5 times?

Get over it, already.

So Romo had a real stinker on Turkey Day- as did THE REST of the team. Fortunately Romo doesn't tend to string together these kind of poor efforts. Now we'll find out about the REST of the team.

I expect Romo and the Cowboys to line up Thursday night rested and fully present - and give an effort more in line with what they have shown us for a majority of the current season.

They are team with flaws - but fully capable of winning in any venue and on any day. Parcells used to say 'you are what your record says you are'... hey folks, 8-4 is a CONTENDER.

And I'm geeked to see how the rest of this drama plays out. GO COWBOYS!

Umm...yes sir I know they aren't.

The reference was that Jerry will try and draft the next Wilson and that's what he'll probably end up with.

Think drafting Quincy because he wanted the next McNabb.

I get what you were saying and I guess its nitpicking but if he's going to draft the next Russell Wilson i'd imagine its someone that has his skill set or at least they BELieve they have their skill set.
