Wow, first a thread about the color of our uniforms and now a thread about Rico. This offseason is going to be unbearably long...

Just log off a few hours out of the day. Some days don't even come on. There are other things to do, then to be tortured on a forum

if he doesnt light up TC and Preseason I believe he will be cut assuming we get FA TE 1 or Draft one..he will eb the odd man out..

everyone can blame the OC and playcaller but if you can ball they get you the ball.. See Jarwin, you ever see Rico do that in any game but in a real live game? Potential size speed etc etc doesnt make you a good football player..his time is nearly over

Rico always looked more pushy shovey to me, and tentatively at that, but I'm glad to hear someone else seeing better blocking out of him.

When he is engaging ins space I see some of that but not as much inline where he has done a good job of getting his hands inside and using his legs.

He was a big reason we started doing better at short yardage.

Rico is developing into a very nice blocking TE. As a late draft pick, I'd keep him on a reasonable salary just as an extra TE in short yardage or goal line with the occasional surprise pass.

He's developing into the opposite of what we expected. He's not a receiver who can't block. He's a blocker who isn't going to be a very effective receiver.

We have to play him this season under a better playbook. He flashed enough to get him involved but I never considered Rico being even looked at under Linehan. When Rico was involved I didn’t think it was drawn up to put him in the best position to make a play based off his current abilities.

Stephen could cut or trade him but he’s not a cap threat.
Right you are, govnor!
Not a cap threat.
Just taking up a roster spot.
(Go away, kid, ya bother me!)

Yes sirrie! Rico Gathers will use this offseason to learn new routes! Improve his blocking and improve his hands! This time we really mean it!
He will be all pro next year and will be our starting TE.
Why, because we want him to be good and I am sure this will be the case in 2019!
Step up! Step up!

Tell us why you think Rico will RULE IN 2019!!
He's young, he's tall, he's at 285 and from Baylor? Yes sir! From Baylor, where gentlemen are made!
Step up! Step up!
We got cotton candy, popcorn and pink limeade, fellas!

Got any offseason info on Rico, Greatest Show on Earth?

Nice post yesirreee! No info, just opinions. Try whack a mole or throw a dart at a balloon and you will get as much info yeesssireee!

Good to hear. I probably don't notice him inline as much, as I don't watch the game in replay that often to really see what's going on. It's easier to notice guys in space.

Good inline blocking is a big deal. Makes him an asset. Get better blocking in space, learn to reliably execute out of short yardage packages, and he becomes a real threat in short yardage.

But the flat out drop against the Rams hurt. 3 receptions on 8 targets for the year. Ugh! What's up with that? He was supposed to be the big soft hands, long arms, large catch radius guy. TEs have to reliably catch the ball.

Thank you, lad, here are some tokens for the guacamole. Dont touch the suit, boy, go away ya bother me.
Here is an opinion.
Rico is just taking up a roster spot and is of no use other than at Cowboy charity basketball games.
Let's consider TE Smith of Alabama, Fant of Iowa or Wilson (a sleeper) from UCLA.
