So what was the job of Jerry's detail that was suppose to protect Pac-man? They surely weren't doing their job, were they?

Like I said, this whole thing is a joke... There is nothing to investigate on and Goodell is nothing but a fraud...

Thank you.Goodell should have banned Belicheat for life but nothing.Makes me wonder sometimes.hmmmm

He may be, but that is exactly why Pacman really had to make sure he kept his nose clean. He knew that Goodell was unpredictable and might make a small incident into a bigger one. That means Pacman is even less smart than I thought he was.

It is getting close to time that you start agreeing with the vast majority of people that did not think Pacman was to be trusted. Everyone is jumping of the bridge. Come join us.

Actually what Jerry said was that they didn't find anything in the incident that showed he broke any of the rules put in place for him by the team. He never once said that Jones didn't break any rules put in place for him by Roger and the league.

He thinks it's harsh yet he said he agrees with and supports the commish decision? He got the picks because he put that in place when he made the deal with the Titans. HE wouldn't have put those things in place, to get those picks back, unless he figured that there was a really good shot that Jones would do what Jones has always done, screw up.

1.Dont you think Jerry knew the rules set by Goodell and set his accordingly?
2.Jerry has to agree.duh.

I just love the ESPN support when it comes to Pac-man... What happened to the hypocrisy, the speculation, the drama that ESPN is when it comes to any and everything that is the Cowboys?

Goodell has already made it clear that the possibility for Adam is open to come back in the league, depending on how he acts. If it was that bad, he wouldn't have said it is about how Pac-man acts.

The incident is nothing but drama... Do you think this is anything but a publicity stunt by the NFL and the Cowboys? And Jerry got pacified with the Titan's pick...

Ah, so the security detail was suppose to protect Adam from the Dallas Cowboy rules, the one's that have no impact on whether he will be suspended or not, not the NFL rules, the very one's that could get him suspended... yeah right....

Every single report that has come out says the team thinks the punishment was way too harsh and they were surprised by it... EVen Jerry was surprised by it...

Hell, Adam Jones has been in the league's substance abuse monitoring program for 3 years and his nose has always come out clean... Like I said, Adam is Goodell's poster boy for his hypocritical clean-up the league image.. How are you coming out clean and now being forced into an alcohol re-habilitation program because your allegedly an alcoholic?

Pacman was getting into trouble well before Goodell came to town. Jones has done this to himself and has no one to blame but himself. He is a grown man who can't seem to avoid conflict. Dallas knew this when we got him but took a chance and even with body gaurds to baby sit him he still finds trouble. I agree this was a minor infraction and had it been any other player it would not have been an issue but Pacman is not any other player he is a player who has had a long list of trouble and to throw that on any one except for Pacman is navie.

Because, as usual, they weren't testing him for alcohol for those three years. Every report, that you seem to like to throw out there, has said that the substance he's been tested for 2 or 3 times a week for nearly 3 years is for weed. I haven't seen one report where they say they've been testing him for his drinking because if they had been then, obviously, he'd have failed numerous tests over the last three years cause he's an admitted drinker and partier.

The guy screwed up. Plain and simple. You're a whiner who just wants to take all responsibility off of him for his own actions. Another one of those people, much like he's been most of his career, where it's always someone elses fault. Someone always being mean to him.

Hopefully the guy will get his rehab and possibly get one final shot in the league that he claims he loves so much. I wouldn't put money on him doing right and getting back in and I certainly wouldn't put money on him continuing to do right if he manages to get back in. But I certainly hope he's able to.

But, yeah, you continue to whine about how he's mistreated and none of it's his fault. I'll wait to see how long it takes for that sort of thought process to work out for him.

Ah I see... So how does the NFL argue he is an alcoholic when they haven't been testing him, per your own words? Plenty of players get drunk in the NFL... You think getting drunk constitutes alcoholism...

I love the irrationalism displayed in this post... Not addressing any of the blatant inconsistencies in this sham.. That is why you have resorted to calling it whining. Tell me again, if Jerry knew that alcohol was a reason for Adam to get suspended, what use was the detail? What was Jerry trying to protect Adam from?

That doesn't mean Pac-man can't enjoy the basic qualities in life every single NFL player can indulge him...

Yes it does mean that. Did Jerry hire body gaurds for any other player on our roster? I don't think so and Jerry himself said PacMan had little wiggly room. now 6 weeks after being reinstated he finds himself in trouble once again. Yet someone else is to blame. Only person that needs to be blamed is Pacman. We are talking a multi million dollar career on the line, at the 1st sign of trouble he needed to walk away and leave that is what a smart person on his last leg would do yet what I see is this bravodo additude by many here of he did what anyone else would have done? Only a stupid person would have yet again put himself into a situation that is going to cost him.

Are you saying you don't understand that part of his probation was that he wasn't supposed to drink? That isn't an NFL sanction that is a sanction put on him by a judge. He was told by the league that if he broke any part of that probation, which included being out drinking, then he could be suspended.

The fact is if he'd been out drinking, as he probably normally does and many others do, and didn't have any incidents, even minor ones, then the fact that he was out drinking would have been over looked, as they apparently already were from the reports that it wasn't the first time he was out and about having a good time.

The difference between those times, and this one, is that he got involved in an minor incident that had the police called. Now he's in trouble cause he got himself into a situation that could have EASILY been avoided in a number of ways.

He could have stayed at home, as many who are on probation do to avoid getting into trouble. It's not a difficult concept, except for the ignorant who want to try and make everything someone elses fault instead of the responsibility of the individual.

He could have simply walked away when the playful joking, harrassing, whatever it was started to get out of hand instead of continuing with it to the point that someone called the cops.

Again the guy is only in trouble because he's a grade A screw up who had no room, at all, to bring any negative attention to himself, no matter how minor, because of all the times he's already screwed up during his career.

This really isn't difficult. You screw up numerous times and you put yourself on a very short leash AND you have no one to blame but yourself when it happens.

The sooner he grows up, reconizes that fact, the sooner the guy can stop getting himself into trouble and continue playing football.

For his sake hopefully he hasn't burned every chance he had before learning that lesson.
