Am I just too much a Dallas homer that I take for granted that Philadelphia is overrated?

Inviting others to speak some sanity into my brain. I'm just very, very hard pressed to convince that last season's debacle of a 2nd half in PHI was somehow a one-off, and that their strained faith that Siriani/Hurts can pull it together even having lost arguably the soul of both their O-line (Kelce) and their D-line (Cox) won't prove to be foolish.

Talk some sense into me.
Nope you aren't. Something about the way Philly finished last season is going to continue into this season. I don't think Sirianni is a good coach and kind of lost the locker room. Hurts is going to continue to regress and although they drafted some corners, their pass defense is still suspect to me. Also losing Kelce is going to be a big loss and trusting Barkley to make it thru an entire season is asking too much. And then that Kellen Moore hire. :muttley:

Hard to say.

Philly has the best offensive lineup I've seen in maybe a decade. Hurts isn't a top 10 QB, IMO. But he's a leader, and maybe that's all they need.

Lots of defensive question marks, though, even though they did an admirable job addressing them.
 OK you can stop with the hyperbole.

Hurts is a gigantic question mark after last year. And they lost a lot of veteran leadership when Kelce and Cox retired. We are going nowhere fast given we are stuck with Dak but I wouldn't be shocked if the Eagles have some troubles as well. But I think they finish above us

To clarify, I was meaning offensive supporting cast— not including Hurts.

But I’d love to hear who has had a stronger lineup since 2014.

They're going to play us hard we know that

Something happened to cause the players to stop putting in the effort. It will probably be years before we find out exactly what caused it. It's usually really bad teams that quit on a coach. Not 10-1 teams.

I watched quite a few SD games last year and it looked identical to our offense the year before. Infact, if you were to change the jerseys you would have thought it was dallas playing lol. I'm really not sure how well Hurts will function in an offense like that but there will be quite a few questionable calls.

On paper they have a good roster and we can reasonably say they have a better offensive line, interior dline, and RB(when healthy) than us. The rest is up for debate. Paper doesn't always play out that way on the field though. The Cowboys roster was far superior to Green Bay's in the playoffs and it didn't matter.

Its very likely those locker room issues that were there last year for the Eagles will spill over to this year and Nick ends up getting fired. The acquisition of Barkley blinds fans and media on what happened last year. But they should also be reminded that 6 years in Barkley has had a pretty underwhelming career.

Check the latest odds to win the Super-Bowl. The bookies are usually pretty accurate. Philly is the 5th most likely team to win it all. Dallas is the 11th most likely to win it. That's a big difference. Philly is a good team. Dallas isn't that far off though.

I'm in the camp that thinks KM is a good offensive coordinator too, although Philly may not be the best fit for his style.
That’s a small campsite!

It's not that great. It's good but I don't see any HOFers among that group.

They have quite a speedy offense. I’d say they are quite the perpetual and rather dangerous team. Of course we won’t know until the season begins, however— they’re quite scary on paper.
