If you guys want to ignore the issues the Raiders as a whole faced the last two years then be my guest. But if you actually know football you can see that just about every player on the Raiders nailed it in starting in 2017. Khalil Mack was on a decline statistically since the beginning of 2017, look what a change of scenery did for him.

Coop can play and doubting that is stupid. If he’s involved in the game he balls, see his 200 yard games this year. Remember the Raiders are one of the most dysfunctional teams in the NFL, they’ve routinely let talent go only to have it flourish somewhere else. Carson Palmer and Randy Moss are two great examples. He didn’t suddenly forget how to play football after two years lol, cmon guys.

This trade allows us to see. No excuses anymore as the QB and coaches have weapons. This trade was just as much about getting better as it was about seeing what we have in Dak.

Cooper makes like 450k this year, a nice low number, which jumps close to 14 Million next year before he’s an UFA.

So very little value in the contract. And he’s gonna want to get paid, plus Cooper will have lots of leverage with Dallas trading a first.

Just one more reason this move sucks.

Yes, the front office has panicked.
The only thing I can say about Cooper: In 2017, Dez, Julio Jones & Amari Cooper struggled as WRs. I never could understand why, but they did. And I followed this all last year, scratching my head about it.
I do applaud the front office for recognizing that Dak needs real WR help, and they have acted.
But the problem is the Coaching, and our OL is not as advertised. Dak has been hit twice as much this year already as he was all of 2016.
They still need to improve the OL & TE position to get up to proper form to have a chance.
And... get rid of Carrot. He keeps killing this team over and over and over.

He is looking at three seasons at his top potential, starting right now. That is very interesting...and a step forward as to team commitments. Stephen signing off on this deal, makes this fan think that the staff is getting more proficient in allocating values for player retentions. There should now be some good player competition as well as more dependable production...for the entire offense as well.

If the defense maintains a cap level for points per games, at or below 20, the offense should improve to a winning level now, as well.

Only time will tell here dude, again if we end up going on a winning streak and cooper is a big part of it then I’m ok with it....if we end up at 6 and 10 then I would agree we gave up too much.
