Amendola: All Hype, No Substance.

You have to understand that the Cowboys pizzed in 4Life's cereal the day they decided to ignore both his pet cats in the first round.

His goal now is to mock every guy chosen by the Cowboys or signed as a UFA.

It's kinda sad isn't it?

Yeah, but it is also legitimate to point out that his comments are borderline racist... I thought we had rules against that kind of thing...

wow where do you get this from ? I never said I didn't like Amendola

You keep calling him the "great white hype"... do you often insult people you like that way??

You're a liar...

Can't a person make a talent evaluation here?

"Great white hype" is not a talent evaluation... even you don't pull crap like that...

that might be the end of the Danny in Dallas expirament too:eek::

he really has to impress as a receiver

I have a hunch that they'll at least try to get him onto the practice squad...

This thread is funny. Let's see, the guys first punt he takes it around the corner for a very nice gain.

Then his second punt he gets double-popped and coughed it up, nerves of actually getting hit for the first time in the NFL.

He continues to field punts all game long, and didn't get in until late. I don't see how any of you could be married, because the first time your wives "****" up, you all bail on her.

Silverbear. I am glad you decided to post today. I've enjoyed it.

Thanks, buddy... and thanks for being one of the "kids" who keeps a level head in his posting... even at your tender age, you're a better Cowboys fan, and a more knowledgeable football fan, than a lot of posters in here...

Keep it up... you're the future of this board... :D

That's a very good point Clove.

I doubt any of these folks, when then ** at work, expect to lose their jobs immediately or if their kid screws up once, it's off to adoption (after they barrage them with name-calling first of course)-- but in this forum, it's amazingly different.

I think that is an incorrect analogy to use with the wife. Because one the wife isn't competing for a spot two its the NFL.

I think it's more along the lines of some1 trying to keep their scholarship and during the 1st semester they get 1 d or a F... gotta stay on your toes and work hard otherwise you wont make the cut.

Put Danny on gunner and let him compete with hurd head up. I'm willing to bet Danny is better than Hurd!

I think it is ridicules the expectations some have placed on a rookie FA like Amendola but I also think it is ridicules for people to write him off after 1 pre-season game.

The next Wes Welker?:lmao2::lmao:

This guy won't even make the roster, way to go Danny! Where is Jamaica Rector?

Talk about quick to judge...though I agree that anyone saying he is the next Welker was exaggerating as much as you are right now.

I wish Martellus Bennett has Amendola's heart, or Amendola had Bennett's physical tools. Either way, we'd have a decent player.

How a year changes things.

Last year, when the Pats traded for Welker, I was quick to say what a great trade that was for them, and that the Dolphins were morons for letting it go down, no matter what poison pill NE was threatening to drop in. Half the forum didn't know who Wes Welker was, some thought the Pats were idiots, others knew what was up.

A year later people are hating on a UDFA because he fumbled in a preseason game and will never be "the next Welker."

Can he be the next Mike Furrey?

lmao people....give me a break. If he breaks out for 8 receptions and 120 yards against Denver, does the tune suddenly change?

Pump your breaks, son.

Its Monday morning... has Danny been cut?

 j/k

Now... more than ever... I WANT THIS KID to succeed.

people are thinking about this the wrong way. remember, danny is trying to EARN a spot, not do enough to not get cut. fans have every right to be critical of him.
