An Apology to Members of the Forum

After some self-introspection, I’ve realized that I’ve often times been harsh and abrasive to fellow members on the forum for their opinions and part of it was accompanied with a feeling of arrogance.

I wanted to apologize to all those members I was rude and abrasive too, particularly those who defend Dak and even Jerry and guys like Garrett. It is, in the end, football and we all share our love if the team.

This includes everybody who thinks to himself that he may be referring to me and if that is the case, it definitely refers to you. Again, my apologies for my rude behavior and often times condescending approach towards debating and plan on changing

This includes guys like @Streetwise and @OmerV especially. If you have any personal gripes please don’t hesitate to message me personally so I can apologize individually.

Very nice. There are several others who could learn a thing or two from your post. Name calling/putting someone down in public doesn't make one look superior nor more knowledgeable, but instead it makes them look like a bully hiding behind a keyboard.

It is a family forum and with that said, your going to have all different ages & fans from all over the world posting. I sincerely hope, besides the mentioned, you weren't put on ignore by the others affected, being they will not see your post. But thank you for doing so, it's greatly appreciated.

This is why I have a lot of posters on ignore, was from the public name calling and insults. Or a few their down out right same old hate posting.
Disagree with me, make you point, and that is fine. We all can do that. But the insults and name calling and such, they go on ignore. I would take some off ignore after a period of time. But I found out, they still do the same thing. So right back to ignore they go.

I miss out on some threads because of those on my list start them, but so be it. If it is newsworthy, It I will find it some other way anyhow.
Now if they were to apologize, I would reconsider. But a few may never come off my list.

This is why I have a lot of posters on ignore, was from the public name calling and insults. Or a few their down out right same old hate posting.
Disagree with me, make you point, and that is fine. We all can do that. But the insults and name calling and such, they go on ignore. I would take some off ignore after a period of time. But I found out, they still do the same thing. So right back to ignore they go.

It would be interesting to compare ignore lists. One of my part time gigs is security and I've noticed that bars/clubs in the same area have almost identical "do not serve" lists.

I am sure there have been multiple rude and harsh responses to me on this board - maybe some from you, but I really have a short memory so it is rare that I even pay much attention to them or really remember them. People say stupid things on message boards - sometimes just to get a response!

Internet wars are really fake drama because most people would never say the things in person that they say in here.

I do believe the ignore is more threat than actually used although I had one poster take me off ignore just to come back and tell me he was putting me back on. I felt as if someone had walked across my grave.

Yeah I’ll never get that one. If you’re going to put me on ignore just do it. All the attention moves is wack to me.

Whether I agree with you or not, is immaterial (for the record, I agreed with a lot of your takes on Dak and the team in general)

What I can tell you is, anything you may have said either seriously or in jest pales in comparison to the vitriol and the nastiness that is dealt daily to those of your opinion. from what I can tell the worst you've done is dish a little sarcasm here and there. Nothing compared to being called everything from a hater to a troll to an idiot to a bigot to whatever else. Nothing compared to being told to go find another team to root for simply because you see things differently.

You are owed an apology. Not the other way around.

Very admirable move. Just don't beat yourself up too bad. Remember, some people are alive simply because it's against the law to kill them. It's hard not to be harsh when dealing with them.

It is what it is man. Online isn't real life IMO. Offline the way folks talk oftentimes doesn't translate to real life so I just take it in stride but sometimes give it back in kind. Think about it when have you and the same "harshness" face to face as people online are routinely comfortable doing? That should let you know its all fugazy right there. Its also easy to get think someone is rude because you're reading things how you want when offline you can see if they're just messing around or not.

So you're now admitting that Dez didn't catch it in Green Bay? I'm suspecting you knew that was the case all along and just wanted to appear like you were a "true" supporter. But remember, the truth comes out in the wash. Thanks for acknowledging.

True, however. I try hard to be the same way online that I am face to face.

I try to be also but funny thing is if you’re not “nice” people assume you wouldn’t say the same things face to face and all my long time friends know I would. Hell we all speak to each other the same way when just shooting the stuff. That’s where it’s different for me at times but when you’re interacting with all different people I try to understand but it’s hard when you’re used to a certain type of way of messing around.
