And if we cannot get McFadden...

I guess I let my Mcfadden crush get the best of me .... I just looked up some pictures of that kid and really dont know why I had the impression of him being slim.

I apologize for my hasty remarks ..... the kid looks like he could be a keeper.

But I still want Mcfadden ....

Why would we draft an unknown cb when we can get one in free agency thats proven.

So because we take a RB in round one we cannot also take a CB in round one next year either?

Odd.

Coulda swore we had 2 1st rounders next year.

The last thing we need is a RB.. we need to look at CB and WR

The McFadden wet dreams you guys are having has to end.. lol we are not getting McFadden

So you dont think there is a chance the Browns could be that bad?

It would be hard to get Mcfadden. Ray Rice, Stanton, 2 other attractive backs.

JuJo is not under contract. RB could definatley a priority. You dont get RBs like these easily outside round #1.

1. Don't you know we "need" a CB and it's always smart to draft for need? So if DMac is available with our first 1st rounder, and a CB is available that's not rated nearly as high on the board as DMac, we should obviously take the CB.

2. It's ONLY ok to talk about drafting a CB. Forget that JuJo won't be here next year and we might have a chance to draft a true STUD at RB, we should ONLY talk about drafting a CB.

Same here. Rice is nice, but McFadden is my #1 choice.

wrong! julius is a big reason for our decline the past 2 years. he wears down in the middle of the season because he is soft. If we can't run the ball than we probally can't give our defense a rest. than the D gets worn out. the jones-barber #s look pretty but take a closer look if you know what i mean

not really.. they will be a bad team but not the worst..i see the raiders being the worst team again.

So because you see the Browns being a "bad team" but not "the worst," we should end all hopes of getting McFadden?? Yeah ok.

This is just a silly statement for a running back.

Do you realize how many stud runners have been right around this height?

that will not hurt him in the NFL at all, none.

Might have trouble getting on rides at Disney, though!:)

Exactly. It's not likely DMac will be THE #1 pick in the draft. It's rare for RBs to go first overall these days.

Rice looks miniscule to me. He's not only short, but he's not very big, either. So you can't compare him to Emmitt (only in very rare cases should anyone be compared to Emmitt anyway)... I think he's more like Brian Westbrook. Which is fine, but you can't expect him to carry the ball every down.

Slaton going to have the same issues, even though he looks thicker and stronger to me.

I do want to see Stewart from Oregon, though. I was looking up Wade's backs in Buffalo and, other than an aging and then retiring Thurman Thomas, they were all 230+.

I don't think he's 5'9". He looks as if he is 5'6" or 5'7". How many of those guys have made it big? Is he playing against highly rated LSU busts-to-be, or even lower rated competition?

Lots of questions and a whole season ahead of us! :starspin

They did think lowly of Emmitt! Emmitt dropped in his draft. He and LT will go down as probably the best 2 RBs ever, statistically. Both from a similar mold, not unike Ray too.

EXACTLY! It's all about heart and determination

When referring to their body builds, it's perfectly ok to compare them. It's not like we're comparing their talent levels or careers.

And Emmitt wasn't that big as a rookie either. Rice looks bigger now then Emmitt did as a rookie.

And Wade probably had absolutely nothing to do with what RBs he had in Buffalo.

Rice did look impressive last night, but my #1 choice is still McFadden, then Slaton, then Rice. I believe we will have an opportunity to get one of these guys. All three have potential to be great back, but McFadden has superstar potential IMO and you cannot afford to pass on talent like that.

You think? I don't see it that way at all. Emmitt was like a little tank, especially in the legs. Rice looks a lot smaller to me.

Doesn't it seem that it is a particularily stong RB class next year?

McFadden, Slaton, Rice, etc... Reminds me of all the RBs that went in the first round a couple of years ago with Cadillac Williams, Ronnie Brown, etc... ONLY next years guys seem a lot better...

No way he lasts until round 2. He will battle McFadden for the Heisman all season, IMO. Along with others.

I think by the end of the year hes a high 1st round pick. Its likely Cleveland will be bad and we will have some flexibility but we may have no shot at Mcfadden.

Ray is everything JuJo looked to be in year one. He has some power too. I really liken him to LT.

I think he is the 3rd or 4th RB in the draft. No doubt this college season will determine this but right now I see him at best as the 3rd back in the draft.
I think the top backs are McFadden, Slaton , (Mich) Mike Hart and Rice
